"I'm Just What You Need"

Giselle covered the phone with her hand as Thomas's voice echoed through the reciever. She dropped it in her surprise staring at Michael pondering exactly what he heard. She pushed her thumb down forcing the call to end. Michael immediately took the receiver from her hands then she felt light-headed from her own guilt. "Hello. "Michael repeated into the phone. "He...hello." he said one last time putting the receiver on the base of the phone. He continued to kneel down now holding Giselle's hand as she panted slowly. "Gigi, breathe in and out."he said as he exhaled in and out as an example. After she calmed down he picked her up walked to the living area lowering her down on the couch. She closed her eyes and Michael rushed off to fix her a glass of water."I'll be right back." he kissed her forehead then went to the kitchen. He thought as he poured water in the glass. He shook his head erasing the thoughts of her lying to him out of his mind. She was perfect and she wanted him,so why would she lie to him? "Why would she?"He muttered.

"Why would she do what?"Giselle asked holding on to the door as she entered the kitchen.

"Gigi you should be resting. I was coming back." he explained.

"I know, but I feel better, and I think I should go home." she told him.

"Giselle, I really want to take care of you. Let me it's obvious you're not feeling your best." he demanded staring at her. He took her hand in his. "Did he say something out of line?" Michael asked.

She stared as she built up a horrific cry. She walked toward him and immediately he grabbed a hold of her as she sobbed on his shoulder. Her words were incoherent and muffled by fake wails and real tears."What if he knows about us---My children...What if he keeps them from me?" she pulled away her mascara smeared and her lips shivering. "We have to slow down."she wiped her face then she hugged him quickly and muffled more cries as she grinned devilishly. "Who am I kidding? I can't be away from you. I just can't." She whined.

Michael held her close, so close as she poured her feelings out. Thomas was going to have to pay for making her cry. And giving her up was something Michael wasn't prepared to do. He assured her that whatever was best for the children he was willing to do. He also stressed that the time couldn't be more appropriate for he and Thomas to have a man to man.

"You have to know that I'm serious when I say I love you. Meeting you on the the train to Chicago changed me as a man. You loving me makes me strong and I want to be your everything. I want to get you out of that penthouse that's first. But Thomas and I need this talk. He has to come to terms that your marriage with him is over."he said staring at her not losing eye contact.

She exhaled then looked down as she ran her fingers up and down his arms. "Michael it isn't as easy as you think. Thomas is a beast when it comes to me and our children. He's unbearable almost and I don't want you involved in my horrible life." She continued to try and persuade him otherwise. He hugged her, kissed her and told her that he will be all the strength she needs to get through this. He kissed her lips told her to drink the water and that he would call her a taxi so she could rest comfortably tonight in her own bed ,and that he'd see her tomorrow after his session at the studio.

It had been almost a month and Michael hadn't seen nor heard from his beloved ,Gigi. He made it his point to stake out across the street from her Penthouse, but his results were less than nothing. Giselle hadn't left her home at least not in the times he'd watched for her. Michael felt like a spell had been cast or maybe he was just blinded by her beautiful face, her curvy figure or the way she made love to him. He could barely work and had to do retake after retake. The musicians finally gave up and the producer called a wrap. Michael's head wasn't into work and until he talked to Gigi and actually touch her he wouldn't be the same. He sat slumped over on the piano as he trickled the keys. He paged Giselle for the hundredth time today. It certainly seemed to be that many times, but in actuality it was about ten, which to him was too much, but she was important, and maybe his talk scared her away. Either way he had to see her. He took his time as he packed up his belongings--maybe she'd call back before he left the studio.
