"She Sounds Like My Wife"
Michael paged Gigi about three times before finally giving up. He knew she heard his plea about Thomas, and it was in his plan to settle things the next opportunity he got. He looked at the clock and it was near nine that night. He and his band was ready to debut a song they've worked hard on. Actually, they would do an half an hour set. One final look in the mirror and he tilted his fedora, clutched his key card in his hand then left his suite.
Giselle and Thomas entered the Clairmont ten minutes ago. She clung to his arm as they passed by people her husband obviously knew. Her heart raced as if a murderer was after her. She prayed and smiled nonchalantly at the few acquaintances they met walking through the crowded hotel. Were they all here to see Michael's band? She pondered feeling as if she would spew her guts out right there. Pulling an old faithful was an option, but the old I-have-a-headache routine was played out. Her husband broke away from her to shake a group of mens hands. She loved him in action. He was sex on legs, but Michael was sex in a full glass of something delicious and she was dehydrated needing her thirst quenched. She fanned herself,so those thoughts would seize, but she couldn't get him out of her system. She was happy the hotel was crowded and hoped that Michael wouldn't see her. She prayed for a miracle. All she had to do was lay low and hide if need be. She found her moment to break free while Thomas busied himself networking. She clutched his arm instantly catching his attention.
"Darling. I must go to the ladies room. I'll have one of the hotel staff to locate you once I'm finished." she kissed his jawline then walked away. She proceeded through the crowd making her way to the ladies room. She was relieved to find it empty and cool. She rushed to the sink staring in the mirror. She let out a exasperating wail as she turned the water lever to the right letting cool water run under her hands. She pressed her damp hands on her chest as she stared in the mirror searching for hope. She gave herself a pep talk about tonight, and if Michael made a scene, she'd lie. She became sick of the stomach at the thought of breaking his heart.

Michael was about five minutes into one song when Giselle left the ladies room. Thomas hadn't realized how long she'd been away as he conversed with friends and took in the quality of music from the band.
"Thank God." She sighed when she looked out onto the stage and the mass of people in the ballroom.
Thomas was seated where Michael would never notice her,yet she was still afraid to enter, but after a few deep breaths and exhaling she did. She took a seat beside her husband. He took time out breaking away from his conversation to reach for her hand and caress it cautiously.
"Is everything all right, sweetheart?" Thomas asked.
"I'm fine. I'm sorry, honey. It was a line a mile long." She lied.
"As long as you're fine, darling."he lowered his lips and kissed her knuckles. "These guys are talented. I think I can find a place for them, sweerheart. You know I always wanted to tap into music" he exclaimed.
She smiled faintly glancing out at the stage. Arguing with him here wouldn't be good. Thomas always tried knew things, but his company was his baby, and watching his money was more important than a band. She only hope this was the case this time.
The half an hour passed and all was fair on Giselle's side. She managed to stay clear of Michael and Thomas was enjoying his night out. She couldn't be happier and wanted to give her husband a treat since it all worked in her favor.
"Darling. You are dashing tonight and I can't wait to take you home. Tonight has been grand." he grinned rubbing her thigh.
"I'm pleased as well, Thomas."she said putting her hands on top of his."It has been beautiful and now I'm ready to feed my sweet handsome husband his dessert." She smirked.
"I can almost taste it." He winked his eye. "But I'm going to send you to the car while I close out our evening. No longer than ten minutes, sweetheart " he exclaimed about to stand.
"Thomas." she sighed pulling his jacket. "Can't this wait till morning?" She said panicking almost.
"Sweerheart." He eased down and cupped her face with both his hands. "Ten minutes and I'll be there." he assured her just as a fellow business aquaintance called his name. He kissed her on her nose and quickly rushed through the crowd of people.
Giselle arrived at the car without fail and without an eye from Michael. She pulled her pager from her purse noticing his suite phone number and code from hours ago. "Michael. I wish you had known I was here." She winced out gazing out of the window.
Inside of the ballroom Thomas was speaking to many people and finally he was introduced to the band he was so adamant about meeting. Phil from the office joined them. His sister was the female vocalist in the band and had brought it to her brothers attention about their debut. Thomas went one by one shaking their hands and lastly he reached his hand out to Michael introducing himself. Michael stared oddly; he was familar and he shared Gigi's husbands name, but it couldn't be him. "You guys are incredible and I have to say you're too good for the Clairmont. I have a few ideas I'd like to talk over if you're interested." Thomas said with a stern stare.
"You said your name is,Thomas right? It's quite noisy and I didn't think I heard you clearly." Michael questioned staring trying to be sure if this is the same man he needs to talk with.
"That's right." he nodded. "Look I know it's sudden, but I'm in and out of town on business occasionally, but this weekend I'm home. I really would like to discuss a future project I have in mind for you over drinks. At least to discuss getting you guys seen some place spectactular. My car is right out front with my wife."
Michael was relieved. This couldn't be the same man. Giselle is over her husband, seperated and belonged to him. "Well of course whatever we discuss has to implement my band." Michael replied.
"Definitely We're just talking ideas, but we have to do it tonight, because I won't be back for another month or so." Thomas exclaimed.
"All right. We can have a few drinks and discuss business. My lady is probably in bed by now anyway, and she wouldn't want me to miss out on an opportunity that'll further my career."
Thomas chuckled. "She sounds a lot like my wife;very supportive when it comes to my dreams. Women are the only true oasis of the world." he grinned. "Ready?" Thomas asked
Michael nodded with a quick smile from Thomas's reply They both proceeded side by side walking through the ballroom and out to the entrance where the car awaited.
