Lucifer: Chapter four

Y/n watched as the situation between Chloe and his father unfolded. He was pleased to see that Lucifer's feelings were returned. They were complicated though. Y/n didn't know much about a healthy relationship, but he knew someone that could help him out. That certain someone was Linda.

-So what bothers you? – she asked him.

-Detective Decker and Marcus Pierce. – sighed Y/n. – I'm guessing my dad is bragging to you about it all the time, but I need to do the same. Let me start from the very beginning.

Y/n told her about everything that happened in his life. When he was spilling the rougher moments to her she was crying. Then the funny moments with Lucifer came so her mood improved a bit. Y/n told her about the care he receives from Lucifer, and that he wanted to know how to get his father and Detective together.

-I like the fact that you have a good relationship with your father. – she said after the long story. – You want him to be happy and to achieve that, you think Lucifer should date Chloe. Are you sure that she will be happy with Lucifer? She looks delighted when she is with Pierce.

-That problem is that I know he's a bed guy, and he will hurt her. – explained Y/n. – The question is how serious the damage will be.

-How do you know? – Linda tilted her head.

-Because he's a damn Cain! – answered Y/n and ran his hand through his hair. – The situation is bad. Very bad.

Time skip

Y/n went in the police station, looking around for Chloe. He was trying to spot her somewhere, when he was disturbed by Dan, who was confused to see a new face on the station.

-Who let you here? – he asked. – I didn't see you around.

-I'm Y/n Morningstar, Lucifer's son. – he answered and held out his hand to shake.

-Dan Espinoza. – he said and shook his hand. – I didn't know Lucifer had a son.

-Well, a week ago he found out that he has a son himself so...-chuckled Y/n and trailed off as Dan chuckled too. They talked a bit and Dan was surprised to notice, that Lucifer's son was indeed a nice guy. – Hey, is that you, who my dad calls Detective Douchebag?

-Yeah. – sighed Dan. – Please don't do that.

-Don't worry, I won't. – chuckled Y/n.

-Ah, so you got to know Detective Douchebag! – said Lucifer with two cups of coffee in his hands. He handed one of the cups to his son and took a sip of the other. – Did you find Chloe?

Y/n shook his head and looked around again. He spotted Pierce and her walking out of janitor's closet and got angry immediately. He could see Lucifer was fuming as well. They were glaring at Pierce together, making Dan shake his head in disbelief.

-What's wrong with you guys? – he asked breaking their trances.

-We're fine. – said Y/n shortly and made their way to Chloe's office to get familiar with a newest case.

Time skip

Y/n had his laptop in his lap and played Devil May Cry 5, while his father was playing the piano. Their evening was passing slowly, but Y/n was still restless and couldn't fully focus on the game. His mind was busy with trying to come up with a way to kill or imprison Cain. The goal was to get rid of him somehow. But how to kill someone immortal? Y/n sighed in frustration, both because he couldn't find a solution, and because the monster he was fighting was managed to beat him up again. He looked to the side and huffed in annoyance. He decided to make a break and have a drink. He put the laptop on the couch and walked up to the bar.

-Want some? – asked Y/n and pointed at the whiskey bottle.

-Yeah, pour me some. – answered Lucifer and emptied his glass. He set it on the piano and let his son fill it up again. Then he poured some to himself and leaned against the piano. – Something's on your mind.

-Same thing as always. – he answered and took a sip. – Can't figure out how to deal with Cain.

-That's not your problem. – Lucifer shook his head. – I'll take care of that.

-I can't stop thinking about that though. – Y/n looked down. – He's putting the humanity in danger.

-Interesting. – Lucifer looked up at him. – Even though you were hurt by humans, you still want to protect them.

-What can I say, not everyone are that bad. – sighed Y/n. – Linda is nice, Dan is okay, and I love the parties we have in Lux. It helped me move on from my previous life. And I'm going to protect it. I still didn't have enough of my fun. – he chuckled. – Now move please, I wanna play too.

-How dare you to address your father like that? – chuckled Lucifer. – I demand playing on four hands as a punishment.

-Let's rock.
