-Do you really have to leave? – asked Yuri looking up at his older brother. He was packing his suitcase for tomorrow. He was a top player of the hockey team and now he was moving to Sankt Petersburg to play in a different club.

-I do. – he answered. – I wish I could take you and grandpa with me but we don't have enough money to live there together. I promise to get you to Petersburg as soon as possible, okay Yurachka?

Y/n hugged his little brother. He didn't want to let go. Their parents left them, now he had to leave the little blondie in his arms. Y/n gritted his teeth to not to cry. He had to be strong for his brother. Yuri was happy that Y/n got a chance to become a hockey star, but the fact he was leaving was hard for both of them.

-Yuri! Y/n! – they heard their grandfather's voice. – Come for piroshky!

None of them had to be told twice. They ran to the kitchen, where their grandfather put the food on the plates. They jumped on their chairs and got to eating making the old man chuckle at their behavior. He raised both boys alone since Yuri was born and looking at them now was making his feel nostalgic. Y/n was ten when Yuri was born and now he was a full grown man. He was the aggressive hockey player, when Yuri was a graceful figure skater. So different, yet so similar.

-I will miss that taste. – said Y/n. – And I will miss both of you.

-We will miss you too. – smiled their grandfather and ruffled Y/n's hair making him chuckle. – Don't worry about us, you have the new team to impress. Focus on that.

Time skip

Two weeks later Y/n played his first match. He was unstoppable and providing the win for his team wasn't that hard. Still, Y/n felt he wasn't at his best form. He decided to stay a bit later at the ice rink and practice. He didn't look at his watch so he was quite surprised that someone entered the rink that was supposed to be empty.

-Who are you? – asked Yakov.

-Y/n Plisetsky, the newest member of T/n. – answered Y/n and got off of the ice. – I'm sorry, I got too carried away with the practice.

-Yakov, don't be mad at him. – smiled a white-haired teen. – My name's Viktor, nice to meet you.

-I heard about you. – Y/n smiled back. – My little brother looks up to you.

-Viktor. – growled Yakov. – Cut those chats off and her on the ice with the others.

Viktor rolled his eyes and smiled apologetically at the hockey player. Y/n packed his bag, apologized to Yakov again and left. Viktor was a little disappointed. He didn't get anything more than the name from the handsome man and now he was gone. Viktor made a mental note for himself to come to the rink earlier than usually. This way maybe he will see him again. With that thought in mind, Viktor started the practice.

Y/n on the other hand was walking to his apartment. One meeting with the white-haired man was enough to make him unable to stop thinking about him. Y/n had to admit to himself that Viktor looked good in long hair. Y/n chuckled to himself at his thoughts and shook his head. Soon he will forget about that meeting anyway, so what was the point of overthinking that? His thoughts were interrupted with the sound of his phone ringing. He picked it up without checking the caller ID.

-Finally! – Y/n flinched at Yuri's voice. – I was trying to call you six times by now! You have no idea how worried I was!

-I'm sorry Yurachka. – chuckled Y/n. – I got carried away with the practice. You have no idea who I met today. Viktor Nuki...Neki...What was his last name?

-You met a Viktor fucking Nikiforov?!

-Yeah...

-You're such a lucky bastard!

-I hope grandpa isn't around to hear you cursing like that. – chuckled Y/n. Yuri cursed all the time, but their grandfather was disciplining him to stop that habit, but with Y/n Yuri didn't have to hold back.

-He went to the store. – answered Yuri. – Don't change the subject! Tell me about him.

-I don't know much. – said Y/n. – But his coach is an asshole. – he added making Yuri laugh.
