“ Again. “

His aggressive voice bounced off the walls and hit my already out of breath stature hard. I looked at him through the mirror, standing up straight and trying to stable my heart rate. I was chosen by him to stay after regular classes for extra help. It was understandable. I had just moved in with my brother Lucas for college a few months ago and was the new person in class. I was behind but quick at learning.

“ I’ve done this like twenty times Mark.” I said gently, reaching up and fanning out the ponytail that sat at the top of my head. He pulled on the bill of his hat, a chuckle shaking through his body.

“ You want to get better right? “ He asked, stepping next to me and placing his hands on my hips, moving me to the stance we had perfected in the beginning of the routine. I nodded slowly, holding my breath slightly at his touch.

“ Then do it again. “ He backed up, standing with his arms crossed over his chest as his intense eyes watched me. I had learned to get used to his look. It used to make me nervous, distract me even, but now I had just made it a goal to get a reaction from him. I knew what I was doing. I waited a minute before repeating the moves we had worked on previously with smooth and precise movement. I hit the beats spot on and stood with my head down and shoulders raising with every loss of breath at the end of the song.

I slowly looked up at him and watched his serious expression turn into a beautiful wide smile. “ That’s what I’m talking about!” He yelled, jogging over and high-fiving me swiftly. I laughed gently, a feeling of relief raising off my shoulders as I caught the folded up rag he threw at me.

“ I’m telling you Elera, keep this up and you’re golden. You’ve come so far.” He spoke, taking his hat off and shaking out his thick black hair.

Mark and I had grown closer over the past two months I had been there. I tried not to see him as a teacher to me. We were on first name basis and joked around a lot when given the chance. He could make me smile at any given time with his stupid words and jokes. He was just a really good guy to be around. I could easily say that I enjoyed my time here. Maybe a little too much.

“ All thanks to you.” I smiled black, glancing at the time as I picked up my phone from my duffle bag. The white numbers on the lock screen made my skin pale slightly. 9:00 P.M. “ Shit…” I mumbled, quickly grabbing my jacket and throwing it over my crop top. I zipped it, as well as my bag and threw it over my shoulder before making a swift walk towards the exit.

“ Everything Alright?” Mark called, jogging after me and making me slow down to look over my shoulder. I laughed gently and nodded.

“ Jungwoo has been parked out front for thirty minutes, usually our practices are done a little quicker. I forgot to tell him we were running this a little late.” I explained. He cracked a slight smile and nodded.

“ Let me walk you out and explain then. “ We walked out the front doors of the studio to the matte black jeep that sat on the front curb. I opened the passenger seat and set my bag down on the floor, hopping in and leaning over, pressing a quick kiss to my boyfriend’s lips.

Jungwoo rolled my window down, smiling politely at Mark who moved to stand there. “ Sorry for keeping you waiting, there was one part we really needed to work on that took a little longer than we expected. She really improving though, you’ve got a good one.” He said, patting the door slightly and taking a step back. I felt Jungwoo interlock his fingers in mind, glancing over to see him smiling. “ Oh I know, thanks for the help Mr.Lee.” he responded, putting the car into drive and pulling away from the studio.

“ You’ve got to tell me when you’re staying later babe” he said gently, raising my hand to lay his lips upon. “ How was class?” He asked, causing me to sigh and him to laugh.
