You stop at the sound of branches crushing in the forest. After saying goodbye to Gandalf, you and the rest of the fellowship began your trip to Gondor. You motion to the rest of your group to pause, then step quietly to the source of the noise. Pulling your bow off your chest, you load it and ready it by your side. You gasp in delight at what you see. A beautiful deer perches on a small cliff with an air of royalty. Hello there, it says. You look into its deep brown eyes, concentrating on your communication. You are very beautiful. I think you look like royalty, you respond. The deer stomps proudly. Thank you. My name is Loriana, and I'm the princess of the The Melian Forest. she swishes her tail, a sign of approval. Whereabouts are you headed? She inquires. Gondor. I'm the princess, along with my brother, Legolas, Prince of Gondor. We came from the Shire with our amicable Fellowship. She opens her eyes more, a sign of interest. You are Princess Y/N, princess of Gondor and Rivendelle? You nod. Proceed with caution, the birds say there have been men around here, hunters if you will, that have talked about you. Our kind has been allies with Rivendelle for centuries, our aid is offered in a time of need. She bows, and you return the gesture. Thank you, you say. Good luck on your venture, princess. And with that, she parts for the opposite direction. You walk back to the rest of your Fellowship. Aragorn stands and walks over to you.

"What was it?" He asks, his eyes laced with worry.

"Princess Loriana, princess of this forest. She warned me about hunters spreading talk about the princess and prince of Rivendelle passing through to Gondor. Best be on high alert." You turn to the road, walking once more, this time alongside Frodo and Gimli. They look at you, smiling.

"What?" You ask, suddenly feeling self-conscious.

"Well, Aragorn was becoming a nervous reck since you were gone for all of ten minutes. He thought you'd been killed, or snatched", Gimli says. "It was sad, really, to see the poor boy fussing over you endlessly." He states. You catch Frodo's eye, and he speaks up.

"Y/N?"

"Yeah?"

"Is there anything you want to tell us?" He chooses his words carefully, as if testing the waters. You blush and look away, smiling to yourself.

"Aha!" Gimli shouts. "You love Aragorn!" You shush him, afraid that Legolas heard. You turn around slowly, and let out a sigh of relief that he didn't notice.

"Well, I wasn't going to say it so plainly, but yes", you say shakily. Frodo beams, and Gimli chuckles.
"I always knew it!"

"But he doesn't love me, he just considers me as a sister."

"Now, I know for a fact that what you just said is completely false!" Pippin pipes up from behind. You shake your head. "No, seriously! I'm not joking, before the Ring was destroyed, Aragorn was drunk and spent hours just talking about how he loved you and how, if I remember correctly, 'your body was a perfect sculpture from the Gods themselves'!" You turn redder as they all laugh.
"Honestly, Y/N, he's not as guarded as you think when you get my secret recipe going", he snickers. You look back at him, laughing with your brother about some joke. How perfect he was. Perfect hair, the perfect smile, perfectly straight teeth and a perfect face. But you don't  just love him for his looks. You also love him for his heart. You ponder this until you reach the walls. Gondor's walls. You take a deep breath and walk to the guards.

"I'm Y/N, Princess of Gondor. This is Legolas, my brother, Prince of Gondor. I trust you've been expecting us?" The guard studies you, narrowing his eyes.

"Show me what you see." He says, pointing to the forest in the distance. You understand this measure. Being half Elven, you have sight 10 times more powerful than men. You focus on the sign in the distance.
