I went to my first slam poetry club meeting today. It was fun, we watched some people reading/reciting their works and had a coupld of prompts. One was a list of things to not do and I changed it to What To Do If You Love Me.
If you love me
There are things you should do
Don't feel the need to always inpress
But don't ever stop caring about what we do together
Don't buy me expensive jewelry
But get me that new book I mentioned once
Don't leave your freinds behind just for me
But don't leave me behind either'
Don't walk away mad
But take that moment to think about what you want to say
Don't tell me to calm down when I am crying for little to no reason
But hold me and comfort me till I am ready for your teasing
Don't forget that I can get lost in a book
But remember I will come back to you when I finish the chapter
I know it seems like a lot of rules
But I would do it all for you too
