She used to love the stories of princes and princesses
She loved that there was someone to save the girl
She hoped that the stories would unfold as her life
She hoped that one of the boys she knew was her prince
But one day she learned the truth
She saw that there were no princes
And that not all men were good and just
She saw that the only way to really be saved
Was by saving herself
She did not need to be saved
She just needed someone who would go with her
When she saved the world
