I woke to the room being practically empty. It was my last day in the states. My bed was the remaining thing standing, while my drawers, and other furniture had been emptied, then packed. Soon enough, I would either return the bed or ship it to Korea.
The last set of clothes set in a blanket neatly folded at the end of my bed. I showered and got ready. I went downstairs to face the emptiness, Instead Tiffany, my American 'Mom', She was American Korean mix, was eating takeout for breakfast.
"Roseanne! Here have some dumplings I bought" She opened the box.
"It's 8am how do you buy dumplings that fast" I sat down at the dinner table.
"Haven't you noticed, I'm a different person when I'm hungry" Tiffany stuffed her face.
I let out a small laugh before diverting my attention to the food. The brief burst of flavors entered my mouth as I took a bite. In the middle of me eating, Tiffany said something to me, That made me excited.
"After you land in Korea. I'll be with you in about 1-2 days!" Tiffany surprised me.
I stopped chewing, and lifted my head to meet hers.
"Really? REALLY?!?!" I screamed out in excitement.
"Yes!" She jumped up.
"When I'm over there Should I call you Chaeyoung or Roseanne?" She asked.
By the time, I went to the states, I ditched my name Park Chaeyoung for my Australian name, Roseanne Park. In Korea I never used my Australian name, so it was an easy fix.
Time Skip-
I closed my bedroom door for the last time. Then said bye to Tiffany, and walked out of the house. I took a taxi to the airport, and got on my flight.
I got off the airplane and took a long breath of that Korean Air.
