"What are your hobbies?" Cedric asked me. We were currently on our date at the pizza parlor and it was going great. "I love to sing, is that odd?" I answered. "Not at all, what kind of music do you like?" He responded. "All kind of music, except heavy metal." I told. "I hate heavy metal." "I like all type of music as well, especially rap." Cedric said. "Really? Do you rap?" I questioned. "I try my best, but I end up sounding like a Dr. Suess book." He joked and I giggled.
"You've got a little something." Cedric spoke wiping my bottom lip gently with his thumb. "Wow." "What?" I replied. "You're very pretty." He complemented and I blushed. "You're so sweet." I smiled. We talked and joked for the rest of the date until Cedric walked me home. "What's your best childhood memory?" He asked. I thought for a moment then spoke, "I have to say from when I was five, in the car with my parents, Draco, and Harry. I was sitting between them and 'Life is a Highway' came on and the three of us started singing."
"Why is that your happiest?" "I think it's because that was the moment that sparked my love in music with my two favorite boys." I answered. "Favorite boys?" Cedric said. "Don't worry, you're part of that group." I assured. Cedric smiled then wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "This is my house." I spoke approaching the front door. "Thank you for walking me home." "Anything for you, Lily." Cedric smirked. I smiled then he started leaning in slowly until the door opened.
"Mr. Potter." Cedric greeted. "Mr. Diggory, I presume that you walked my daughter home, correct?" Dad said looking strict. "Yes, sir." Cedric replied. "James, what is it?" Mom asked walking downstairs. "Oh, you must be Cedric Diggory." She smiled. "Lily Potter." "Nice to meet you, ma'am." Cedric spoke politely. "Such a gentlemen, and home this early on a Saturday." "I'm more of a traditional guy when it comes to romance." Cedric admitted. "Romance?" Dad questioned.
"Not in an inappropriate way — I mean, we weren't doing anything inappropriate, not that you were accusing us of that. Um, I'm sorry." Cedric stuttered. "It's alright, my husband is just a bit protective." Mom said. "Are you free tomorrow? We would like to have you over for lunch." "I would love to come over, Mrs. Potter." Cedric accepted. "I have to go before my parents get worried." I went to hug him, but he stuck out his hand for me to shake then I tried to shake his hand as he went to hug me.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow." I said as we gave each other an awkward high-five before I went upstairs to my room. I closed then door to my room smiling to myself as I plopped myself on my bed. It was a great date and yet, I still couldn't stop thinking about the little emotion I saw in Draco's eyes. Maybe, I'll find out soon.

It was the next day and I was helping my mom prepare lunch for when Cedric and the Malfoys come over. "Harry, come toast the garlic bread!" Mom called. Harry walked in the kitchen and put the bread in the toaster oven. "Why is Diggory coming again?" Harry questioned. "Because we want to get to know him and he seems like a gentleman." Mom answered, then there was a knock. "I got it!" Dad told and answered the door. "Mr. Diggory." He sighed. I went to the door and smiled at Cedric.
