Chapter 6;
Tyler's POV;
The weekend! My glourious get away weekend from Max! It was finally here! I threw my arms into the air and let myself fall back onto my bed. I held my phone above me, and scanned through my texts. Might as well text someone... Maybe.. Jenna? Yeah, lets text her.
To Jenna: Haay! How have you been? Doing anything exciting this weekend? c;
I went to shut my phone screen off, when A text appeared on my phone. Speedy, much?
From Jenna: I've been amaaaaziiing! This weekend? Just the usual with Tanner.
To Jenna: What's the usual, m'dear? You better not be doing to dirties!
From Jenna: Oh my gosh, no! We just usually go see a movie or something! Anyways, I must go, I have to work on a report that's due in AP English on Monday. Talk to you laaater!
I chuckled at her text. How innocent. I shut my screen off, and let my arms fall over to my sides. I let my eyes flutter shut, but then I felt my phone vibrate. Who was it this time?
From The 'Jerk': Tyler, don't plan anything for after school on Monday.
I scrunched my nose in confusion. Don't make any plans for after school Monday? Why? He's probably going to take me. Fine, whatever. I'll just let him. It couldn't be that, right?To The 'Jerk': Fine, whatever. It better be something good.
I shut my phone screen off for the last time, and stood up, tossing my phone back onto my bed. I walked down stairs for a snack, but ended up outside. I heard a truck outside and it caught my curiosity. Who's truck is that..
Wait, I know those trucks! That's a moving truck! I've seen pleanty of them in this neighborhood! I saw them pull into the drive way next to our house, and saw a woman, probably her mid fourties, step out. Huh.. I wonder who that is.
After a moment of dazing off, I saw a girl, who looked to be around my age, walk over to her mom.
"Hannah, go open the door and look around. Pick your room, okay? This home.. I think it's permanent. So choose wisely, okay?" The girl smiled lightly, her dimples making her look to cute for words. I was a little jealous. She loked like she had brownish, hazel eyes, with shoulder length light brown hair. She had a somewhat pale complexion. Probably around 5'4, 5'5. I was a little jealous.
I took in a deep breath and walked over to the mother. I place a smile on my face and walked over. "Excuse me, miss..?" I asked calmly.
She turned around all suddenly, and to be honest, it scared me. She looked just like her daughter. Wait, that's wrong. her daughter looks just like her.. Yeah, that. Her mom must get her looks from her mom. Either way, they're both pretty.
"Oh, I'm sorry! Hello! I'm Maggie! It's nice to meet you." She gave me the warmest smile. I couldn't help but smile back.
I extended my hand to her. "I'm Tyler. It's a pelasure to meet you, too." I wanted to ask her about her daughter, but I couldn't bring myself to it. Would it be rude..? I don't think so.. It might be.. Whatever.
Just drop it, Tyler.
"It really was nice meeting you, but I must go now!" I smiled happily at her, and she smiled back and nodded. I turned on my heels and walked back inside.
I felt my legs pulling me up the stairs and plopping down on the bed.
Naps sound amazing right now.
And that they were because I fell asleep without realizing it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I woke up a few hours later, sitting up suddenly. I was having this weird dream with Max in it. That can not happen. Ever.
That is something I won't tell anyone about.
I pealed myself away from my warm bed and walked out of my room and to the kitchen for something to drink.. And my allergy pills. My throat is as dry as the desert, and it's painful to swallow. I groaned as I walked down stairs and noticed a note on the table.
Dear Tyler,
Well I know who's not home.I'll be back later, please take care of the house. No parties!! :) I had to go into work on emergency, so don't worry to much. I left you a twenty for food. Eat well!
Love,
Mom.
I let out another groan as I placed the note back down and searched the cabinets for my pills. After I found them, I took one out and placed it on my tongue. I got out the Sunny D container and just drank straight from it.
A smile took place on my lips as the feeling in my throat returned. I walked out of the kitchen and into the living room only to be infront of the door again. I stepped outside and found the girl, Hannah walking down the street, as if coming back home. I smiled and ran over to her.
"Hello!" I smiled brightly at her and she smiled back.
"Hi." She extended a hand towards me, and I grabbed it, shaking.
"I'm Tyler. You look like you're in my grade. You're in eleventh, right?" She nodded and I felt my smile grow larger. "I hope we can be good friends! I also hope we get some classes together!"
She chuckled and I couldn't help but laugh with her.
"I'm Hannah. I hope so, too. You seem nice." She chuckled again, probably thinking I talk to much.
This would be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
