31. Forgiving

BAEKHYUN'S P.O.V

She was beautiful. I can't understand why my grandfather didn't like her. I am looking at the picture that xiumin hung gave me.

It has the little Lee Hyuk who was smiling brightly at the the camera with his mother. He is lucky because he got a chance to be with his mother even for seven years.

But I never had a chance.

I sighed as I felt the familiar warmth spreading through my hand. I look at the man in my heart. Park chanyeol.

"Are you sure about this?"
He asked me as I nod my head.

"This time this will be over."

I sighed again as check out the time.

It is 1.30pm Lee Hyuk will be there in thirty minutes. I looked at my grandfather's house through the windscreen.

Then I remembered the words xiumin hyung told me yesterday.

Flashback

"Suicide?" I asked him to confirm.

"Yes. She was. Five months after that your grandfather married your grandmother. Actually she loved Lee Hyuk but he always thought the reason for his mother's death was your grandmother."

"But how he was just a kid back then."
I asked him again as xiumin hyung sighed.

"The day his mother took her own life she wrote a letter and unfortunately the person who saw that letter and his mother's death body was Lee Hyuk. According to the maid when she was walking into the room Lee hyuk was there sitting front of the dead body with the letter. And that was the day he changed."

"What was on that letter?"
I asked him.

"You can marry her. I am leaving."

"Oh God. I can't believe this. He was just a kid. How could he.. Dad did you know about this too?"

I asked from the dad who has shocking expression on his face.

"No. Yes. No I mean I knew that she suicide herself but I never knew the reason."

He said putting his face between his hands.

"Is there anything else?"

"After his mother's death his mother's room kept cleanly like his mother used to use. Everything his mother used was very carefully protected by Lee hyuk. After years your grandfather started to split up the properties and he wrote the house under your mother's name. But Lee Hyuk wanted the house. Because he treasure it as his life. It is the only thing his mother left with him."

"That is why he killed my mother?"
I asked him closing my eyes.

"According to the maid your mother also really liked this house. Because of the environment. She was the one who created the whole garden and everything. actually your mother never had a good relationship with Lee hyuk she hated him because he always fought with her mother.

One day Lee hyuk came and argued with this problem with your mother and the argument goes bit strongly and....."

"He pushed her without even thinking that she is nine months pregnant women. And her head hit on the floor. It was late when we taking her to the hospital. Fortunately doctors were able to save the child."

My dad complete the story. Without knowing that I was inside of chanyeol's warm hug and tears were flowing through my cheeks.
