Joohyun was born in Nagoya, Japan to a happy family of her dad, mom, older brother, and little sister. She was a little shy, but found a small group of loving friends easily. Joohyun always enjoyed being around little kids or teaching them new and interesting things, and a lot of people told her that she would be a great teacher in the future. She moved to Korea during the summer before she started high school because the company her dad worked at had to move his work location. Joohyun was upset that she had to leave all her friends behind so she joined the HW Club, hoping to make some friends with a shared interest in teaching.
