That evening after Gwen went to grab her wand from her locker, she entered the Common Room with a smile lighting up her face despite the depressing situation.

No one was in the Common Room except for one person and he was enough to make the girl's smile slip off her face.

In front of her was a truly depressing sight for the eyes.

Oliver Wood laid on the floor, his body straight like a wooden plank with his face buried deep in the carpet. He didn't move, it was just pathetic.

"Are you alright?" Gwen asked looking at Oliver with worry.

Oliver let out a couple of inaudible words and he still didn't move. "What?" asked Gwen once again.

Oliver finally raised his head. "I'm depressed." simply stated Oliver who returned to his plank position.

"Yeah, I've got that, thank you very much," replied Gwen.

Nothing else was heard or said, the only noise came from the wood crackling in the fireplace. "So I'm going to go," Gwen said.

Silence.

Gwen nodded her head and decided to take that well-needed shower. She walked past Oliver, leaving him how he was, and walked to her dorm.

"HELLO!" Gwen jumped as soon as she entered.

Both Angelina and Alicia were sitting on Gwen's bed with big and slightly scary identical smiles on their faces. "Hey?" Gwen replied. She was starting to freak out at the abnormality of the situation.

Silence, again.

"I'm going to shower. And for two people who felt the cold sting of loss, you two are very happy." The two didn't say a word and the grins were still stamped onto their faces.

During her shower, Gwen sang like she never sang before even though she was sure that she was torturing her friends with the sound of it. Gwen was simply too happy to give a damn. Whenever she thought of the kiss, she would get giddy and start smiling to herself.

Many people describe their first kiss to be perfect and would start seeing fireworks in their heads. For Gwen, the kiss wasn't perfect.

She pretty much stood there like a statue at first and when she did start reacting, she bumped her teeth against his at least three times.

Gwen practically floated into the dorm in happiness, and Alicia's and Angelina's whispers went silent.

"Okay. Truth time. What is going on with the two of you? You've been acting weird, weirder than usual." Gwen said, she grabbed a hairbrush and started working through the knots.

"We'll tell you later. But first, is there something that you want to tell us? Like, I don't know... why you weren't here in the common room when you told us that you'll be?" Angelina questioned cheekily. The creepy grin still plastered on her face.

Gwen tried to hide her reddening cheeks from them as she thought about Cedric. "Cedric gave me back my broomstick since I left it in the pitch. I must have forgotten it with all the panic." Gwen replied as she fished her brushing.

Angelina gave her a look and raised an eyebrow as if saying 'is that all?'

Alicia suddenly stood up. "Oh, what the heck! We saw you kissing Cedric," Alicia pulled Gwen forcefully into a hug. "We're so happy for you!"

Angelina let out a groan. "Really, Alicia? I thought we were going with subtle." Alicia let go of Gwen.

"Subtle? Because looking at me creepily with a murder smile on your face is very subtle." Gwen replied as her voice practically yelled sarcasm.
