So there I was, at the airport, waiting to board my flight back to Bangalore , still texting my friends, filling them up on when I'll get back and meet them all and then came Alina, I told her I'd text her when I got back. I boarded the flight, around an hour and I was back; back to Bangalore, back to early morning runs to make it to class...but...India being the democracy it is grants people the freedom to call for bandhs and strikes as they please and yes the next day was a bandh. I got to know about it as I got back home. In between all this I hadn't forgotten about her, I pinged her and she poked back at me saying, ha so much for meeting me tomorrow now that hurt my ego, I promised her I would go and meet her, but now I can't .

As this thought ran through my head, my friend texts me the next morning saying that we could go out for lunch; him, his girlfriend(who is a very close friend of mine), me and my pesky sister. Now this was just perfect, his girlfriend lived near Alina's hostel. So I checked with her about her plans, she said she was going shopping with her friends and would only be back by like 5, that was fine by me, so I tell my parents that I was going to pick up notes from this girl that stayed in the hostel and I left. Went out, had lunch, crashed at a hookah joint and then swung right up to the hostel.

I made sure she was there and then I text her, asking her to come out and she was like no, you can't possibly be here and I told her to come out and have a look for herself, in the mean while I told my friend to come out and give me the notes, which she did and as I was talking to her, out she comes with a smile of disbelief and surprise on her face.

I said hi and asked my classmate to leave and looked at her and said "TA-DA", here I am, she looked at me, smiled and embraced me, that moment... It felt like the whole world around us froze and nothing around us was moving. She's hugged me before, but this hug...it felt like nothing I've had before. I felt deep down a bond, something just connected between us. I break the hug and tell her to go back in...and I left, knowing for a fact that my life was going to change.........
