Adam sat on the bench, watching the angel as he very confusedly sat on the swings, rocking back and forth slowly.

The demon sighed softly, rubbing his hands down his face. He loved the angel that much was for sure but he was a demon, surely it was in some kind of rule-book that even being friends with Samandriel was something awful in the eyes of God. Then again God was kind of a fucking asshole so maybe doing as much as possible to piss him off was a good thing.

Maybe.

"Adam?"

Adam looked up to see the said angel standing over him, pointing to the bench, "May I sit?"

"Oh...sure," Adam said and scooted over so that the angel could sit down, Samandriel staring off at the park, scrunching his nose up,

"Children are very odd"

Adam chuckled, "Yea, they can be..."

Alfie looked over at a couple, watching as the woman put her head on the man's shoulder, she looked very happy, comfortable and so Samandriel copied the action, leaning on Adams' shoulder and hardly noticing when the demon tensed.

"Uhhh, Alfie? What're you doing?"

"Copying those two, they seem to be rather good friends"

"...Pretty sure they're a couple, Alfie"

"Oh, Like in the bar?"

"Like in the bar"

Samandriel then sat back up and Adam immediately missed the angel's warmth.

"We should get back home, thank you for showing me the park from your childhood"

"...No problem Alfie" Adam said and took the angels hand carefully, Alfie didn't pull away and so the two walked home hand in hand in a comfortable silence.
