When we get to Taco Bell, 3 of us pile out, while Dally is still trying to figure out where the handle is. When we reach the door, we all jump on it, since we're really hungry. The door doesn't budge and we're shoving on the door. Now the people in the restaurant were staring at us, tacos dropping out of their mouth. Dally stalks over to us. He pulls the door and we gape at him before running in. "You have to read the braille." He says calmly.  After we get inside, I straighten my clothes so there is no visible wrinkles. Fixing my pony tail, I wait for everyone to order food and then I order mine: a small chicken quesadilla with extra sauce. I guess I was pretty hungry today. When my food finally comes, I grab it, blushing when the cashier at the front winks at me, smirking a bit, reminding me of Sodapop. I sit down with the group and eat in silence, not really listening to what they are saying, until Ponyboy brings up the name Kace Damon, my ex. I breathe in really quickly and get food lodged in my throat. I begin to hit my chest, until Ponyboy turns and sees I'm choking. He brings his hand back really fast and whacks the food out of my throat, "be gone, foul food!" He says. I laugh a bit at that. Then I go back into my little bit of drowsiness and depression. I don't like to hear about Kace. He was really mean and abusive towards me. That's where the bruises and hickies came from. Him, being an asshole. He broke up with me after I told him I wasn't going to have sex with him. He left after beating me badly. I stare off and out of the window, until Dally taps my hand from across the table. I look at him and the whole gang is looking at me in concern. "What? Is something wrong?" I ask. "No. But is it true what he did to you? Did he really hurt you like that?" Dally asks. I stop breathing for a second and stare blank at him. "...y-yes..." I say quietly. After a moment of awkward silence, Steve tries to lighten up the mood by telling a funny story about the one time he had to tell a girl off at the DX. It was one I'd heard, but it was still funny.
