Eclipse

Prologue :

"I've always been the different one, everyone hated me but you? Your generation was always loved, always worshipped, always accepted while me...

I was just the darkness that blocked the light, the evil inside every being."

The Tale of Two

A long time ago there lived two sisters, created by the mighty mother of all creatures, Gaia. They were each given a task, one shall rule above and be seen as the figure of new beginnings, of hope, the good inside every being and most importantly life. She was known as Thea, the guardian of Light. She was given a small blue rose with petals that swirled with blue galaxies and swarmed with millions of stars, this rose would represent her weapon and a way of transporting back home.

Her sister, on the other hand was given the task to rule the underworld. She was seen as the figure of the dark, of evil, the hunger for power, and the symbol of death. Because of her dark behavior many mortals feared her, turning their backs to her and instead praised her sister, Thea. This brought forth many negative thoughts such as vengeance and jealousy, she was known as Eclipse, the Guardian of Darkness. She was given the sphere of Numra, this gave her complete control over the underworld and a way to go back home, as for the rest was a mysterious that I don't quite know.

As years passed, Eclipse's jealousy grew more as she always stood below her sister. Never the one to be thanked only seen as the symbol of true evil. She never had the chance to show who real self, how kind she could be like her sister but instead she was judged, harshly. Because of this she hid amongst the fire in the underworld planning a way to overthrow her sister and seize all power to herself. Hence she created her pets, Chaos and Souleater. They were twin snakes that fed on evil thoughts and actions amongst the mortals and drowned them in hatred. They were also poisonous to her sister Thea, and that's where her plan was headed. 

On a calming night Eclipse set foot on her sister's kingdom. There she released her pets into her room with only one goal : Kill Thea. But as both Chaos and Souleater slithered their way up to the Guardian they both failed to notice the blue rose shine in alarm causing Thea to stir from her sleep. Snapping her eyes open she caught a glimpse of a pair of snakes slithering towards her, alarmed she grabbed the gleaming rose and held it to her chest, "Eclipse?" She called, eyeing the snakes as she took quick glances at the door. "Eclipse!?" She called again, screaming as Chaos went for the kill but with one swipe of her hand she had created a barrier to protect herself...to by time at least. Unaware Eclipse sneeked up on her, with the Sphere of Numra in hand she cast a spell, "...the death of my sister is all I wish, the power of all is what I desire, may the darkness rule above all and the light be extinguished from all souls that gave her their hearts."

Now many would say that after the spell Eclipse casted, Thea strength had weakened but no one knows what really happened after that. Some say that Thea was really poisoned by the snakes bites and with a final wish she cast her own power amongst a kind mortal born not in the day nor in the night but more in between. While others say she ran away, after fighting off her sister and disguising herself amongst the mortals to start her own people that would carry her power. Either way, she perished and joined her mother Gaia, but Eclipse was punished severely.

She was chained to the skies, the sphere of Numra only working as a guidance to spy upon mortals and lead the dead to peace. However, Gaia failed to notice Eclipse's pets, Chaos and Souleater hence bringing the guardian of the sun to doom, creating Necross her first child of evil. While her sister's generation only watched in sadness and despair. That was until Spark appeared, breaking the balance of life and death. Becoming an immortal and the next Guardian of not light but Life. Eclipse was enraged not only because of the breaking of balance but because Spark wasn't just the guardian of Life but something more, something much more powerful than Eclipse herself and knowing Eclipse she wouldn't want another Thea ruining everything, if she had to kill her too she'd be happy to do so. Only problem is she needs a certain guardian to help her break her chains and she knows the perfect one for the job.......

So for those that don't know this is the sequel to You Are My Light so to understand the story perfectly I'd advise you to read the 1st book. Also sorry for the short chapt but I promise the next one will be longer!!! Hope you enjoyed!!!
