Song in multimedia: Flipset Fred- Wild Shakedown Pt. 1
The next morning, Ebony and Mike got up early to catch breakfast before going out to Hollywood Studios. Fully dressed in her daytime clothes, Ebony sat on the bed and stared at a picture of her mother. It was a picture that Jelly sent to her yesterday and Ebony had set it as her lock screen. She felt a little emotional compared to yesterday.
"Should I wear my 4's or the 7's? I think black sneakers is best for today cause I don't want dirt or scuffs fucking me up." Mike came out of the bathroom holding up his shoes.
"The 7's, I'm not a fan of the Bred's." Ebony looked back to answer.
"Cool. Why you looking like that?" He sat down to put on the black shoe with purple and green detailing.
"Like what?" Ebony folded her arms.
"Like a lost puppy dog."
"So I look like a dog?" She joked.
"Yup. That's exactly what I was tryna say." He sarcastically replied while slapping the back of her head.
"Move! Fuck. My head still sore." Ebony punched his arm and huffed.
"Lose the attitude, la' girl." Mike stood.
"Don't put your hands on me then. Annoying ass." She rolled her eyes and stood up too.
"Say, love. Quit playing with me, ya' heard me. You really wan' fuss right na'?" He blocked the door.
"I would like to go eat breakfast, but if you don't get the fuck out my way then yeah, we can fuss." Ebony smiled with a closed mouth.
"You woke up on the wrong side of the bed, yeah?" He didn't budge.
"Mike, move. It's too early and I'm not in the mood." She tried pushing his arm.
"Why not?" Mike grabbed her arm.
"Stop touching me and open the door. You really bout to piss me off and I'm a be mad the whole day. You do not want me mad the whole day, I can tell you that right now."
"You touching me. And I don't care about you being mad the whole day. What you don't know is, I'll walk clean off and do my own thing today." He laughed.
"You gone be walking yo ass back to New Orleans too. Watch. Now get the fuck." Ebony shooed him.
"Not until you tell me what's wrong."
"You hit me in the head!" She used that as an excuse for an outburst.
"Nope, you already felt some type of way before that. And if you lie to me, I'm a be pissed off. Cause I already told you about lying to me."
"Well...I'm just upset....I want my mama to be here, especially to see her second oldest propose. I'm not in a good mood, but I might cheer up once I see my nieces and nephews." Ebony confessed, even though she didn't want to.
"I'm sorry. I have no idea how that feel, I'm sure it's painful though. I could tell you to keep ya' head up, but I know that's not realistic. So you have every right to feel however you want today. Just let me know if I could do anything to make you feel better. We can talk if you want." He hugged her while swinging her side to side.
Mike could tell that Ebony was used to keeping everything bottled up and lying about how she really felt at times. That was one of the things he disliked about her and it kind of got under his skin sometimes. He wanted her to be open and honest with him because that's how he was with her. But because he knew her past, he didn't press the issue. Instead, he tried proving to her that he was there. Over the past year, he's noticed that it takes time with Ebony and little progress is better than none.
