I Fell In Love With A Star

Chapter 5

Jonathan's POV

My life gets weirder and weirder everytime, first I became friends with thieves, second I stumbled upon a girl named 'Galaxy Star' it is a unique and beautiful name, but at the same time weird, she also called herself the 'The Princess of the Stars' Yes, I do wish on stars, but I never knew I will meet and actual star, well a fallen one. Who knew? Maybe she is my wish that came true, but she said she is finding her prince charming so I don't expect that much, and also I don't believe in her being the princess and all. There are thoughtd in my head that once we go back to New York City, I would bring her to a mental hospital. But I will not do that, she is full of hope and wonder. Her imagination of herself is mesmerizing.

But not until I saw her doing magic that lead us out of the forest! She chanted something before doing the magic stuff but I REALLY BELIEVE HER NOW! there was a trail of stars lighting and guiding our way, It was wonderful. It felt... Magical. It's like I'm in a dream, It is dark but the only light is the star guide. It's really beautiful. She gave me more hope on finding the one I love.

There is nothing impossible if you believe that something will come true.

By the way, I'm Jonathan Sanchez, 16 years old and I live in New York City. My parents died when I was 7. After they passed away I stayed with my grandparents until I was 15, I decided to live on my own and New York City is where I want to live. It came true, I have a stable job but still going to school. At least I know how to live on my own.

I'm a very hopeful boy, I wish and pray everynight to find the girl of my dreams, but apparently, she is still not here.

We are now walking on a quiet road with no cars, but eventually she heard me mentioning "cars" so she asked what are cars, and I explained to her. Gosh she don't any idea what are cars? Huh, I guess she is a fallen star.

"Hey about earlier..." she started the conversation.

"Please keep my powers a secret. You are the only human I can trust, because... You are the first human I met." She continued in a gentle tone. I nodded and reached out my hand to do a pinky swear. She stared at me and giving me a what-is-he-doing face. She's so cute.

"It's a pinky swear silly, it means that your secret is safe with me." Then I reached out to get her hand and pinky sweared. Her skin is soft. I shook my head, what was I thinking? You can't like someone you just met. Ughhhh this is going to be a long journey.

Galaxy's POV

I CAN SEE CITY LIGHTS! OMG OMG OMG! I can't wait to roam around the new york city roads, more people to meet and more food to eat, yum!

"I CAN SEE CITY LIGHTS JONATHAN!" I shouted happily. He was shocked at my actions but I don't care, I just so excited!

"Relax galaxy, there are a lot of days to explore the city, and I will always be at your side." He said, I blushed because of what he said. I felt something that I never felt before... 'Love' is this the feeling of love? Or I was just flattered on what Jonathan said? No. Think straight Galaxy, you still have to find your prince.

"You're cute when you blush." He said.

"Would you stop that?"

"Stop what?" He looked confused but I know he understood what I was meant to say. I gave him a cold glare and did not reply. He's so annoying ughhh.

"Ok, ok I will stop. But no joke, you really look cute." He said and chuckled, I was about to say thanks when he continued to walk ahead of me. I tried to catch up but walked faster and faster, to the point that we are running! And then he stopped.

"Oh my stars, can you slow down a bit? My legs are hurting and I can-" I stopped talking when I turned my head to see the beautiful cith lights. It is satisfying indeed. From afar they look like stars, shining in the distance. You can see tall buildings and billboards. I never knew earth can be this pretty at night.

"Woah." I said, amazed.

"Beautiful, right? Come on! I'll show you something more beautiful." It is 3:00 in the morning and we are sitting on a tree, looking at the lights.

"So, what's like out there. Outside earth?"

"Amazing, you can discover a lot of things out there."

"Look up, this is the beautiful thing I want to show you."

I looked up and saw a thousand shining stars. They are shining so bright. I can tell all the constellations. I miss them. I bet they are looking down on me with a big smile on their face. But then I noticed something, a star, dying.

"Hey, are you ok?" He asked sounding concerned.

"See that very bright star? Look to the left." I said pointing at the star.

"That star is not as bright like the other ones, why?"

"It's dying." I said, I really felt bad for that star. But I know that the star had a very worth it life. I can feel it. I know that it will be happy on where it is staying now. I got something in my pocket. It's a star shaped petal.

"What's that?" Jonathan asked.

"It's a star shaped petal, we release these petals everytime a star dies. Every star becomes a tree after they die, but each one of them are unique. The tree represents their personalities as a star. It does not come in one color, but different kinds." I explained as I let go of the petal and it floated up.

Jonathan hugged me to know that I'm not alone, we sat there as we watched the stars.
