Robert's POV
Before I had a chance to put my hand on the door, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I quickly whipped around and and saw Bindi right there.
"Robert, the Crocoseum show is about to start, you have to be there NOW!" She whisper-shouted.
"But Bindi-" I said frantically trying to explain my situation but she was having none of it "Robert! Now!" she said as she kept pushing me towards the door "Okay, wait, listen..." I said as I whipped around, "Okay but make it snappy" she said calmly but I knew there was a pun hidden in that sentence, instead of revealing it I quickly asked her "Okay I'll go but listen please, there is a boy in my room who is hurt in his head, he hit the floor of the Zoo when I confronted him, I think he is awake now so please go check on him if he's fine" I said before I rushed out of the door knowing that if Bindi wasn't gonna bombard me with questions now she'd definitely do it later.
This was one of my rare solo acts as in with no one to help me, yes I have done this before enough times to know the ropes and I know that Wes will be watching me to help out if necessary.
I enter the backstage area to the Crocoseum, get myself all strapped up for work, wait for my time, cue the smoke, plaster the smile and here comes Crocodile Hunter Jr!
Narrator's POV
As the show went on and everybody cheered, unaware of the danger that was about to come. The employee at the gates of the crocodile pens was nicely dozing off, with sound-proof headphones and eye covers as he sat on the chair. He was completely oblivious to the damage being dealt towards the gates. The crocodiles, with every passing day, from the moment they were brought to the Zoo, were slowly wearing down the section of the gate bars submerged below the water. Every day, chip by chip, the gates were slowly being destroyed, unaware to any passing by employees as the always sat by the bars, their skin matching perfectly with the darkly coloured bars and you can can't exactly see colour properly from above water.
Today, Graham, yes, THE Big Boss of all crocodiles at Australia Zoo, the very same one who tried to take down Steve and Wes all those years ago, was contemplating his re-re-revenge. He would've succeeded in taking down Steve if he didn't place his head right below Steve's foot, and definitely would've got Wes but that was just a very lucky break thanks to Steve jumping in on the nick of time, but now he has plans for Irwin Jr., he has secret plans and clever tricks indeed. With a flash he broke his bars with one hard whip of his tail, and even that didn't wake up the snoozing employee. The other Crocs did the same, and all of them were free. Graham knew the Steve had died a long time ago, thanks to a Goanna that came in the enclosure a day after Steve's death who blurted out the news.
He was very unhappy that he wasn't the one to finish off Steve, even though he knew he had no chances with Wes anymore, he still knew he could settle Steve's score with Robert. He saw his father in him but knew that he didn't quite know ALL of the ropes yet. He also knew that Robert could also do solo acts now. The other Crocs keep talking about it and their experiences with it.
He never forgave Steve for taking him out of the wild, he still misses his home deeply, no amount of chicken or even Bindi's(the Crocodile, his mate) affections could compare to the taste and tenderness of fresh bait-fish and bait-crab in the evening. He keeps talking to the more recent additions of Crocodiles through frequencies inaudible to humans, they keep talking about how they miss their old homes and their lives over there, others just settle in and actually like it here. The thought of it disgusts Graham, that a Crocodile actually LIKES being here.
A good friend of his, Casper, agrees to his ideals. To think that both being aggressive Crocs would hate each other to the core but actually they get along well considering that they both don't like humans. Graham would love Casper to be on the plan with him but unfortunately he is not a part of the Crocoseum Crocodiles.
