Chapter 4

Percy's P.O.V.

I don't know why I didn't feel the slightest bit guilty. I guess she did deserve that. She was the one who cheated on me, but my problem was being loyal, so why didn't I feel the least bit devastated. I mean, of course it hurt to know Annabeth had cheated on me, but not as much as I thought it would.

I sighed, knowing I should just push it out of my head until later, because I had things I had to do. I walked over to the Arena and got out Riptide, starting to train the newbies at camp.

When I was done I wasn't really tired, because none of them really knew how to fight, but I was still sweaty because it was hot outside. I took off my shirt and took a big gulp from my water bottle.

I felt like someone was watching me, but I just brushed it off as one of the Aphrodite girls wanting to see me shirtless now that I'm single and all.

I went back to my cabin to take a shower and get dressed into something not sweaty.

I heard the lunch bell ring, so I quickly slipped on my flip-flops and jogged out of my cabin.

I was happy and not that today was Thursday, because we do this thing where you can sit wherever you want. I'm happy, because I get to sit with my friends, but that also includes Annabeth being there. Come to think of it Nico would also be there. Oh Gods, if your listening somewhere up there, please help me.

When our normal table came into view, I saw Jason, Piper, and Nico already there, whispering harshly and looking deep in a conversation.

"Hey, what are you guys talking about?" I said, sitting down. Their heads snapped up and everything immediately fell silent.

"Nothing." Nico quietly insisted without looking at me.

"Uuuuummm, ok?" If they didn't want to tell me I wouldn't push.

Then Leo came skipping over.

"Hey, party people. Super Sized Mcshizzle is here, the celebration may start."

"Sure, Flame Boy." Nico said sarcastically rolling his eyes. Leo just responded with a grin.

We were all just laughing and joking around until Annabeth came and sat down. The tension was so thick I was choking on it. There was this silence that kinda just hung over our table as we ate lunch. Leo would make an occasional joke, but it didn't help.

After I was finished I got up quickly and walked off, needing to get away from that awkwardness.

I sighed when I was far enough away and realized I had gone to the shore line. I looked out over the water and sat down feeling calm.

I lost track of time until I heard someone sit down next to me. I turned my head and saw Nico.

"Hey." I said casually. He nodded in acknowledgement.

It was silent for a while until Nico finally said "Percy, I have to tell you something."

I stared at him, urging him on. He took a deep breath then looked me straight in the eye and leaned up, pressing his cold lips to mine.

CLIFFHANGER was that a cliffhanger? I thought it was. Well I know it was kinda short but y'all wanted me to update so I did. WE FINALLY HAVE GOTTEN TO THE PERCICO!!!!! I'm so excited.
