Chapter 12
Simon and I carried Luke into Magnus' place, following him quickly as he lead the way into the pervious room that Jace and I were in. Clary followed behind, worry draped over her face.
"What happened?" Magnus asked, walking over and grabbing a sheet before laying it over his couch.
"He was attacked!" Simon said, struggling to carry Luke's weight as he got heavier.
"He needs a warlock. He needs you," Clary said, shutting the doors behind us.
Magnus patted the couch, "Put him here." Between the four of us, we managed to lay Luke down, his eyes closed as he seemed to be trapped in a dream. His head shook as he spoke with worry. "Where are you? I can't find you. Where are where are you?"
My hand lightly moved over his bald head, trying to calm him down, "Shhh, Luke. It's going to be okay."
"Jocelyn! Jocelyn," Luke cried, thrashing slightly.
"No, Luke, it's Clary and Faith," Clary said, kneeling next to me. Her hand took Luke's, causing his eyes to open into slivers as he got a glimpse of us.
"You both have to listen to me. I have to tell you, just in case-" Luke said in between breaths.
Clary shook her head, not dare taking any last words, "No, don't even say it, don't."
Luke shook his head, "No, listen to me..." His voice trailed off as he seemed to slip out of consciousness again, failing to tell us what he wanted to so badly.
Magnus spoke up behind us, seeming to stand next to Simon. "Was he bitten by an alpha?"
"Yeah, why?" Simon asked.
Magnus moved in between Clary and I, laying his hands on Luke's shoulders. He began to count down, "Three, two, one." Suddenly, Luke sits up a little, his eyes changing to a glowing green, as he let's out a yell that turns in a howl. As his body collides with the couch again, he starts to thrash around.
"Oh, my God," Clary says, shocked and worried. Between her and me, we're able to hold him, but struggle as Magnus stands. He walks over to a shelf, grabbing one thing after another. He sets them on a table in a rush before walking towards the exit.
"Where do you think you're going?" Simon asked.
Magnus points to Luke, ordering the three of us to hold him down as he disappears from the room. A minute later and he returns with a large bowl, spoon, and more ingredients. He throws it all on the table, grabbing one of the glass containers, and digging the spoon inside of it.
Rushing over, Magnus shoves the spoon full of green stuff down Luke's throat. "We don't have a lot of time. It'll take a few moments to take effect."
"What's happening to him?" I asked, still holding Luke's struggling body down with Simon and Clary's help.
"Random werewolf transformation. It's a side effect of the poison in the alpha bite," Magnus says. As soon as Magnus said that Luke's thrashing body started to calm until he was laying still on the couch. His breathing was still heavy and shaky, but his body laid still.
We used that moment to patch up all of Luke's wounds which were mostly on his upper body. Luckily, thanks to watching so many doctor shows in hopes of finding out what was wrong with me, I had an idea of what to do. Anything I struggled with, Magnus showed me how.
Once Luke was all wrapped up, Simon and Clary sat on the other couch, talking while I staid by Luke's side.
Not ever seeing my father, Luke sort of took that place. When I'd get sick, he would always fix me some soup and keep an eye on me while my mother was away. We had some great conversations. I'd hate to see those end.
