Logan made me anxious all day with the thought of my phone in his possession. The last thing I wanted was for him to go through it.
He wouldn't do that, would he?
Nevermind. He totally would.
I walked into Butterface's class, the last class of the day, immediately scanning the room for Logan. My heart raced faster every second I didn't see him.
"Okay everyone, please take your seats. We have no time to waste today!" My teacher said, giving me a look.
I rolled my eyes and walked to my seat, trying to act like I wasn't freaking out inside.
Logan walked in a few minutes after Butterface started her lecture. We locked eyes and he immediately smirked at me. My eyes traveled down to his front pocket, my phone peeking out of it.
"Well look who decided to show up to class today!" Butterface said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes and huffed.
"At least I came this time. If I didn't have something important to do today, I would have skipped." He gave me a look and winked at Butterface. She sighed deeply, pressing her thumb and forefinger against her temple.
"Well let's just continue then, shall we? Unless you want to interrupt again Mr. Carter."
"Nope, I'm done for today. Can't say the same about others though." He said, indirectly talking about me.
As much as I wanted to, I couldn't focus. Everything that came out of her mouth translated as mumbles to me, my mind was racing too fast thinking of all the things Logan could have done with my phone.
I was staring at Logan's pocket, my phone tempting me to just reach over and grab it. He sat a desk or two away from me, I bet I could make it.
I was in the middle of plotting my rescue mission, but the strange yet familiar feel of Logan's eyes on me burned through my skin and I looked up to meet his gaze.
"Anxious much?" He mouthed to me. I immediately frowned. I flipped him off discreetly and looked down at my notebook, trying to ignore him as best as I could.
I still felt his gaze on me. He refused to look away in an effort to grab my attention, and I refused to make it work.
"-and one small particle could disrupt the entire system of the human body. Can anyone tell me what that particle is?"
"I know something that could disrupt the system of the human body, but I wouldn't consider it small-" Logan blurted, earning a gasp out of Butterface's mouth.
"Mr. Carter that is highly inappropriate-" She started, but I cut her off.
"Logan can you stop being so immature for like, 12 seconds?" I said, all my anger that had built up throughout the day was slowly coming out.
"You really shouldn't be insulting me right now Zoey, don't you think?"
"Are you seriously threatening me?"
"All I'm saying is maybe you should drop the attitude and keep your mouth closed. Who knows what can happen, I'm a firm believer in karma."
"You probably think 'karma' is some foreign girl that you had sex with, get over yourself. You're disgusting. I can't believe you would try to fucking-" Just as I was about to cuss him out, I was saved by the bell. Literally.
If looks could kill, Butterface would put us six feet under. But I didn't care. Because if looks really could kill, Logan would be so far gone that no one would even remember his name.
