"Y/n!" Everyone screams. Their eyes are filled to the brim with tears, even Snotlout was crying.
"G-guys.. wha.." You started to get up, but you winced in pain as your burnt, bloody arm swelled. Hiccup picked you up and put you on his back.
"Here, Hiccup let us help!" Said Ruffnut.
"Yeah! We'll carry her to-" a skittish Fishlegs began.
"No!" Hiccup snapped. You flinched at him suddenly screaming. This caused him to mumble "I'm sorry" to you a couple of times. Everyone exchanged worried glances.
"Well, if you say so.." shrugged Tuffnut. Hiccup got onto Toothless's back and flew off.
"Man, Hiccup's been really... rude since y/n's arrival, hasn't he?" Said a rather upset Snotlout.
"Yeah.." said Astrid, squinting her eyes at a small black dot flying out towards the strange buildings that they call dragon's edge.
[Time skip]
Hiccup put you down on his bed and covered you with an animal fur blanket. Earlier he had wrapped up all your wounds; including the ones you had before befriending the dragon riders.
"Sleep tight, k?" Said Hiccup, adjusting the covers before getting up from the side of the bed. As he was leaving, you opened your mouth and these words came out.
"Hiccup?"
He look startled, as if not expecting you to talk after the events that happened hours earlier. "Yeah, yeah I'm here." He said in a comforting tone. He walked back over and sat on the floor next to the bed.
You hesitated. "...did you..kiss me? Before the figh--"
"WELL, UM, hooow about we change the subject!"
You raised and h/c eyebrow and smirked. "To what?"
"Gah, uhm, you going to bed! Goodnight!" Hiccup said quickly. His whole face was as red as Snotlout's Monsterous Nightmare. He quickly shuffled out the room, his body tense.
"Good night, then.." you said, slowly drifting off to sleep.
