Another Accident

I peeked in and saw no one in the hallway. My shoes were the type that didn't make any noise when you walked, or maybe it was just because I was so small and light. I should probably find the nurse office first and plug my nose up. I started down the hallway, heading to the right. There was a class right in front of the building and the door was wide open. The door was put so that there was a little room above the door. Since I was a Nukekubi, my head could come off at any time, kind of like how a Dullahan could. Not all Nukekubi could take off their heads at any time. Only unlucky humans that were a curse at birth could do it.

My head floated off my body, with a little white stream of smokey substance coming from my neck. There was a bathroom on the other hallway so the rest of my body made it's way over and hid in a stall. Even though my head was separated from my body, if I concentrated, I could still see where my body was heading and control it.

I floated over the door, trying not to make any sound. Without my hand to catch my blood, it was dripping all over the floor. I needed to find the nurses office because it obviously had cloth. I got to the end of the hallway and peeked around. There was a sign that had a pink cross on it. I stuck close to the ceiling because all of the other classes' doors were open and made it to the sign. It was the nurse's office, as I suspected. The room was very open with a few beds on the side covered with pink, slightly see-through curtains for privacy, a closet that had a small lock on it, and a desk with paperwork and various other items on it. I couldn't see or hear anyone so I assumed it was safe. I floated in and saw a pile of cloth on the desk. I picked one up with my teeth and carried it to the bathroom. I got my head back onto my body, rolled the cloth into a drill shape, and put it in my nose.

Suddenly, a bell rung and I could already hear screaming and very loud talking from outside the bathroom. I creaked open the door and the hallway was flooded with people. I was stressing out a lot when a Yōkai pushed me out of the way, into the hall, and shut the bathroom door after he went in.

"You're in the way, move," the Yōkai said.

I stumbled into the hallway and fell down. Everyone stopped for a second, looked at me, and the Yōkai that were closest to me started helping me up.

"Are you okay?"

"Oh my gosh your nose is bleeding, wait, both are!"

"It looks like she's fainting, someone get her!"

"Here I'll take you to the nurse's office."

For some reason, my nose hadn't stopped bleeding and I had lost so much blood that I was getting a little dizzy. Someone grabbed my arm and hoisted it up onto their opposite shoulder. They lifted my body up and that was enough for me to pass out.
