Hoseok smiles ever so gently, glancing at Chan's tummy, "You're expecting a pup? That's amazing."

"Thank you hyung. I actually wanted to bring along my mate but he's busy at school," Chan grins awkwardly as Taehyung nods along.

Jungkook just watches from the side quietly, while Jimin busies himself neating the room.

Hoseok had woken up recently, and he had a long, serious talk with his mate regarding the accident. He definitely did not blame it on the latter, and he believes it was totally his mistake of being irresponsible.

Taehyung had told him the truth regarding his perspective on pregnancies, and the alpha didn't blame it on him for feeling that way.

"I just wished you had told me earlier.. So I wouldn't be so dramatic about it."

Taehyung asks with a small smile playing on his lips, "Is your beta good?"

"Definitely! He's a childhood friend, actually," Chan slightly reddens up when Taehyung starts cooing.

Jimin joins in with a chuckle, "And they act like sweethearts together."

"Really?"

"Yeah! Yeonjun spoon-fed him soup when Chan's capable of doing it himself-" the latter makes a whining sound at that.

Taehyung quirks up an eyebrow in amusement as he looks at Chan, who tries to hide his face, "Bring him along next time."

"O-of course."

Hoseok and Taehyung talk to Chan for a while, catching up here and there, and eventually Chan bids goodbye when he gets a text message from a certain someone.

Hoseok sighs softly as Chan leaves the room with a small smile, "They're all growing up so fast."

"You're talking as if you're so old, hyung."

"He's as old as Wonwoo hyung though," Jungkook quirks an eyebrow as Hoseok makes a small sound at that statement.

"Don't remind me about my age, kids. I know I'm the eldest along with Wonwoo."

Chan hums softly as he makes a call on his smartphone, listening to the rings as he waits for the person to pick up.

"Chan? What's up?"

"Where are you now?"

Yeonjun looks up from the ground to gaze at his surroundings, "Just a street away from my workplace. Why?"

"I forgot you have work - sigh -" Chan continues walking to the bus stop at the hospital.

Yeonjun makes a soft sound at that and his tone becomes gentler, "Do you need me?"

"I do actually... But you shouldn't-"

"-no, it's okay! I'll talk to my bosses, I'm sure they'll understand. Do you want me to fetch you?"

Chan feels his heart pick up pace, smiling to himself, "You could meet me at that fast food joint nearby school."

Yeonjun stops walking and looks around while biting on his bottom lip, before he turns around on his heels to the direction of their school, "I can do that. Anything you're craving for?"

"Onion rings. And ice cream."

"I'll get them before you arrive. Come safely, alright?"

Chan sighs softly, "Thanks Yeonjun."

"Anything for you and the pup." And if Chan's heart doesn't flutter at that, he's a heartless person.

"Officer Jeon. Calling for Officer Jeon," a voice calls from the handheld transceiver on Jungkook's belt.

Jungkook groans loudly as the three other men look at him curiously, and he picks up the device with a scowl on his face, "Officer Jeon reporting."

"Chief is looking for you in his office. Care to make your way to work now?"

"On it," Jimin sighs softly as the alpha looks at him with a guilty expression.

Jimin shakes his head as he walks towards the younger male, "It's okay. You should go."

"I'm so sorry, baby," Jungkook gently says as the omega hugs him for a short while, before the alpha kisses him on the forehead.

Jimin smiles reassuringly, "Maybe next time we could spend some time together."

Jungkook doesn't look like he could anyways, as he rushes out of the room.
