Chapter 3

Nolana slept most of the day. Her body not having the energy to resist. Arailm came in to check up on her sometimes but left her alone mostly.

“Are you hungry?” The small brown eyed man asked.

She nodded, “Can I ask your name?” He gave her a toothy grin.

“The names Shane, I'm beta for Arailm. Come to the fire, he's siting there now.” she followed the man out to find several male wolves seated. Watching them all warily she sat down beside the alpha.

“Arailm, so what are you planning to do with the she-wolf? Keep her?” a rumbling growl came from him.

“She will join our pack, that's the end of it.” the men nodded their heads, but shot her looks. Nolana was passed a plate of raw meat again but didn't touch it until Arailm bit into his meal. After eating she tried to cover a yawn, but the Alpha noticed it.

“Come.”He whispered in her ear, grabbing her hand and walking towards his tent. Following him back in she managed to relax in his arms. “How are you feeling?” He asked after she got settled.

“Better...” she murmured lightly, feeling another yawn over take her. As she fell into the dark arms of sleep she felt Arailm hug her closer, making her feel safe.

Nolana looked up at Arailm as she was asked to shift. 'They won't bite Nolana.' Moon murmured quietly in her mind. 'But they all look like they wanna eat me!' she felt tired but rested at the same time.

“Shift.” came the command again. Slowly Nolana allowed Moon to take over. Milky white fur sprouted form her skin and raced down her spine. A sickening crack was heard as her bones shifted and shaped into a now small werewolf standing on her hind legs. “Good. Now we can travel.” she watched the others shift too, Arailm shaking out his long black fur and stalking towards the front.

Nolana hung back with Shane as they started moving, her eyes never leaving the Alpha's hind quarters as they ran. For three days and nights they ran non stop until they came to a fairly large house. The dark green color blended in with the trees around it but the building had to be at least ten stories high. Looking around to see Arailm watching her she whined.

“We will enter first. I will take you to your room once we shift.” he told her. Arailm led the white female up the porch before shifting and opening the door and motioning for her to enter. The living room was filled with females and pups but he didn't allow them to get near her as her placed a hand on her lower back steering her up to his floor. “Your room will be on my floor for now, just until we know the pack accepts you.” he explained as she looked down the long rows of doors. “Understand not all of them are housing my pack right now, I have a few out tracking down vampires.”

Nolana followed him to the tenth floor and looked in a dark purple room, “This would be my mates room but for now you may stay here.” the large queen sized bed looked inviting with its over stuffed pillows and the soft looking comforter. The bed posts and head board looked hand carved, wolves running along the bottom playing with others.

“It's beautiful.” she murmured looking at the wolves running across the walls and the small statues that held a resemblance to his wolf.

“Glad you like it, I will have Shane bring you something to eat.” with that she was left alone.
