                                              I promised to let you live in your
Daydreams of lies.
I promised to leave you, to find a path
and turn you away.
                          Can you hear me?
Does my voice sound?
Do you still hold the keys?
My heart is locked.
                          Don't let yourself back in
To stir the past.
Keep your distance for
It hurts us both.

                          I promised to leave you alone
To experience the world.
I promised to let you go free
So please, understand.
                          Why won't you let me go?
How can I still feel you?
Where can I run?
Heartbreak isn't new.
                          Understand me as I 
Tried for you.
My heart is broken,
And spirit hurt.
                          I promised to push you to
Do what was needed.
I promised to love,
So I did this for you.
