I rang their items and put it in the bags, "Thank you, I recieved 500 pesos. . ." Dahan dahan kong pinindot ang kahera at nilagay ang pera, I gave them their change and thank them once again. "Please come again." O kahit nag alcohol o sanitizer. I didn't bother washing my hands, or minding the germs. It builds immunity. Umupo ako sa stool na nasa likod ng counter, I looked at the time. Kasi 10 AM may klase ako, tapos ano. . .
Teka nga lang.
Kaninong payong 'to? Saan ko nga 'to nakita? 'Tsaka, may nangyari sakin kaninang hapon diba?
"Seven eleven everyday?" I hesitated.
The girl who just entered has dyed dark red hair, naka red pa na lipstick.
May araw ba ngayon? Tanong ko sa sarili ko. But the one thing I noticed. She's holding a red umbrella. Oh, also she's chewing bubblegum.
She's slightly humming a song.
"You're Naomi right?"
I flinched when she suddenly said that, her voice was rough. 'Yung tipong tough girl talaga, boses palang. I smiled. "Opo," sabi ko, "Eto lang po ba?" Paano niya nalaman pangalan ko? Well duh, name tag.
She took four packs of chewing gum and grinned while dropping them on the counter, "I don't get her," she murmurred, "I don't see why she thinks you're anything special," she leaned over the counter and took her glasses off, "Like me." She whispered.
My mouth fell open. Diyos ko po, what the? I've encountered a demon.
Her eyes are glowing red, just like her hair. I slowly took a step back. I was so taken aback that I didn't know how to react anymore. She chuckled and her eyes suddenly turned to common brown. She's smirking while she put the items on the bag. My heart was beating so fast, but I tried so hard to calm myself down.
"See you." She said as she drop a thousand bill on the counter and walked towards the exit.
I sharply breathed in.
