The blood was rushing from his open wounds and with each forest tree he leaned on to support himself from falling, he left behind a marker to the ones who were still pursuing him. His breathing was getting more and more heavy as he made his way through the woods he had grown up in. Sweat ran down his dirt grimed face from the summer suns hot rays. He knew he had to put distance between him and them, but the only way he could would be to use his powers, and at the moment that could prove fatal with the loss of blood he has endured.
“Come on Jinnie. I just wanted to play. Why did you have to run away?!” He could hear them growing close. He never should have left home. He should have listened to his elders, but he hadn’t, and now time was about to stop for him. He tripped on an old root that was sticking out of the ground and fell to the forest floor. Out of breath and with his body screaming for him to stop, he had no energy left in him to run anymore.
He used what strength he could to roll over on his back. He could feel his body getting lighter with each passing second, and he was fighting the need to close his eyes. Instead he stared at the clouds above him. He silently wondered if he would soon be where he could view them up close. A breaking branch alerted him to the group’s presence. All the lush green earth around him was now cold and without color. That is what their kind did, sucked the life from all around them. He mentally chuckled at the irony. Just as they killed the evergreens, they were going to kill him as well.
“Look what we found.” The leader chuckled. The followers laughed as well, their deeps voices making chills prickle down his spine. “Should have stayed in your fortress, but since you so graciously came out to play, we will make sure to end this quickly.” The leader reached in a hidden pocket in his robes and pulled out a long sacrificial blade, one Jin had seen before in his own home, but this one held black diamonds and sapphires in the handle. The leader leaned over him, and his group giggled in anticipation.
Jin watched the blade helplessly as he lifted it above his head, he wished he could be anywhere else. He would love to just be able to disappear, because if they were to kill him, a war would surely start. He wished it with all the strength he had left. He wanted nothing more.
Just as the knife was coming towards his heart, the earth around him grumbled, and all went black.
A/N: Had this story idea for awhile and now that I am almost done with Cover-up Boyfriend, I thought now would be the perfect time to release this prologue. I hope you will go on the journey with me as the story goes along and help me as well. Yes this has Bangtan split into two groups and some are bad guys, but thought it best to do that than try and use another group and have someone say I was being biased.
Well anyway, look forward to the first chapter coming soon.
