It's about a month after Nikki's first appointment. At their upcoming appointment they will learn the sex of the baby. Everything seems to be going great for the newlyweds...again. But when their kids lives are in turmoil, will they still be so merry?
Victor and Nikki are in Victor's office, when Victoria comes in seeming very deep in thought but still carrying on with business tasks.
"Hey mom and dad can I talk to you for a minute?"" Sure darling what is it?" Nikki asked concerned JT and I are having problems and I feel like I need to be with him and Reed more, so I'm going to resign as CEO. "But what does you being the CEO have to do with JT?" Victor asked "I cheated on him dad," Victoria said sobbing. "Oh my darling come here," said NIkki comforting Victoria."Why on Earth would drive you to cheat?" Victor asked "we drifted really far apart when he took the job to work with Tucker, and I need to do everything I can to try and save this marriage." If only for Reed's sake. "I have to go," Victoria said wiping her tears and leaving her father's office quickly. "Well I'll be damned," said Victor as he sat down at his desk. "We just need to be there for Victoria" said Nikki "I know" said Victor, and we will be. Darling I know you're concerned for Victoria's sake but I don't want it to plague you, said Victor very concerned for Nikki and thir unborn child's sake. It wont my darling I assure you Im just very worried about her.
"Why don't we go to the club for dinner, and then go get a couples massage?" asked Victor with a big smile on his face. "That sounds wonderful" "As Nikki stands up she feels this really sharp pain in her lower stomach. She leans forward leaning againt Victor's desk for support, half screaming and half moaning. "What wrong darling?" "Are you ok?" Then another sharp pain came that was twice as strong as the previous. Victor, in panic mode, picks Nikki up and rushes her to the hospital. Victor calls the hospital and lets them know they are on there way, and to have Dr. Stound on standby. The sharp pains keep plaguing Nikki one after the other. Nikki is laid back in the seat trying to breathe through the pain. Victor is doing his best to comfort Nikki,drive safely, and stay calm at the same time.
When they arrive at the hospital Dr. Stound and two nurses are waitng with a gurney to put Nikki on. They get her out of the car and rush her inside. As they are approaching the ER room, Nikki yells Victor and he says I'm right here darling and runs up to her as they are wheeling her into the ER. They immediatley get Nikki in a room, and give her an ultrasound to try to see whats causing the pain. Dr. Stound immediately sees the problems and says to Nikki that a pollup on her right ovary has busted. Victor says "Did it hurt the baby?" Can you do something about it? Yes Mr. Newman we need to operate on your wife immeditately. "Ok do what ever it takes, but Mr. Newman there are risks that must be addressed when operating on a pregnant woman." said Dr. Stound " You do whatever it takes, to save her do you hear me"?! "Your wife is in good hands Mr. Newman. Victor gives Nikki one last kiss, and tells her he loves her before she is wisked off to surgery. Victor immediately calls Victoria, Nicholas, and Katherine and tells them of Nikk's situation.
