"Thank you Dr. Stound," said Victor. "Yes, thank you dr," said Nikki. Dr. Stound leaves to tend to other patients. I think we should think about what we want to name our son, said Nikki. Oh yes. What do you have in mind? "I like Christian Newman," said Nikki. "I love it," said Victor. "I'm glad you like it." "It makes me so happy to know we made this amazing gift together'" said Victor as he gave Nikki a gentle loving kiss. How do you want to tell everyone we are having a son?" Asked Victor. I was thinking we could have a baby shower, not the baby shower like you're thinking of, but where we announce the gender and celebrate our baby. Thats a wonderful idea. You think so? "Of course I do," said Victor and why don't we renew out vowels on the same day? It would make it very special. I love that idea, and I like how you think Mr. Newman. You do. Yes, but would you mind if we talked about it more tomorrow because I'm really tired. It's fine darling, you get some rest now. "Victor," Nikki said mischeviously as she moved over in the bed. "Yes darling," why dont you sleep with me. Are you sure? I dont want to hurt you. Darling I'm not even sore, and besides I can't sleep without you to keep me warm. "Alright," Victor said as he layed gently next to her, putting his arm around her as their son gave them a kick of approval. "Did you feel that," Nikki asked Victor. "We have quite a strong boy." Now don't give your mommy a hard time, you behave yourself. Nikki and Victor both chuckled. They fell asleep in eachother's arms, as the presence of their love diminished every worry and care in the world.
The next day, another hot mid June day, Victoria walks in and sees her parents sleeping and smiles. Victor wakes up and sees her, and says "What are you doing here so early?" Victoria says "I just came by to make sure everything was ok." Nikki begins to stir as she hears them talking. "Hi Victoria, Nikki says as she yawns. "What are you doing here so early?" "I simply came by to check on you, and see if you needed anything." Victoria gave Nikki and Victor a mischevious look. "Why are you looking at me like that?" muttered Nikki knowing what she was thinking. Nothing happened Victoria, we didn't do anything. No, I know, it's just I'm glad to see the two of you this close again. It's quite the upgrade compared to two years ago. Yes we know, and have put the past behind us. We want to move forward. especially for our son's sake, said Victor. What your having a boy, congratutlations. "Victor," Nikki chuckled what happened to telling them the way we "were' going to tell them. "Oops I'm sorry darling, I was simply excited, it slipped out," Victor said as he stood up from the bed. "Don't worry I won't say a word, your secret is safe with me. "Thank you." Now I have to go you two feel free to continue. Nikki and Victor both laugh, sure thing,bye. "Bye" said Nikki to Victoria.
Nikki has been released from the hospital and Victor and Nikki are eating lunch on the living room couch, because he wants her to be as comfortable as possible during the next week of recovery. "I'm so happy that we almost have the baby shower and wedding completely planned, said Nikki. "It makes me happy to make you happy," replied Victor. "Now all we have to do is pick out a date," Victor said to Nikki as a smile began to form on his face. "Of course,""how about this Saturday?"
