PART ONE – AND YOU ARE?

With your brows furrowed, you stared at the smartly dressed man standing at the head of the classroom. He didn't even an offer a second for you to take in the words that had just left his mouth, just moving onto the next pairing. Seriously?

"Kim Namjoon? Who even is that?" Prof. Lancaster briefly glanced in your direction, obviously annoyed by the distraction. He didn't even have a chance to answer, a soft voice breaking through from the back.

"That would be me." You eyes landed on a rather tall male. His soft waves dyed a sandy brown color and falling onto his forehead, stopping just above his dark eyes. He wore a pair of circular glasses, the yellow of his uniform complementing his honey skin.

You sent a tight lipped smile in his direction, quickly turning your attention back up front. This couldn't really be happening, right? There was no way you were actually paired up with that nerd. Prof definitely had it out for you.

With a huff, you slumped down into your seat. Your arms crossed over your chest as you half listened to the details of this assignment.

PART ONE – YOU CAN'T SIT WITH US

You spent the rest of class just like that. Arms crossed and barely paying attention. You were annoyed that you were now stuck working with that 'Namjoon' guy. Out of all people! So many cooler people to choose from, why not any of them?

The second the bell sounded, you darted for the door. From the corner of your eye you saw Namjoon attempting to approach you. The frown that settled on his lips didn't go undetected either. With that came pang of guilt in your chest.

A feeling you chose to ignore. It was your plan to avoid him ( and the social suicide he bought on ) as much as possible. There was no telling what people would have to say if they saw you hanging around with him.

It had been hours since then. Now lunchtime. You sat at your usual table with the rest of the cheer team. It was easy to fall into conversation with them because they were your friends. You could laugh and smile about anything. There was no telling how many conversations would die between you and Namjoon.

Lunch was moving along as expected. Sannie, your closest friend, leading the conversation with another one of her boy dilemmas. What you weren't expecting was to see Namjoon and his two other geeky friends waltzing straight up to your table.

You glanced at the girls sitting beside you, checking if they were catching this-- they weren't.

"Hey, y/n--," Sannie's attention was caught by the sound of his voice. Her face scrunched up as she stared at the boy in front of her. "I'm sorry, you can't sit here." She laughed, glancing at the girls around her.

Namjoon ignored her, keeping his eyes on you. "We didn't get the chance to talk. When do you want to get together?"

Sannie shot you a look of confusion before sitting up to answer again. She was annoyed with having been ignored, it was written all over her face. "What are you talking about?"

"Ugh, this stupid project. He's my partner." You interjected, eyes filled with disappointment as you glanced at Sannie. She snorted, matching your look with one of pity. Namjoon glanced between the two of you, knowing that he was missing something.

"So, um... I was thinking we could meet up at my place? We should get started as soon as possible." The two boys standing behind him were snickering about something. Namjoon was quick to glance back at them, shooting them a look that silenced them.
