Song on Shuffle: Two Of Us- Louis Tomlinson

[Haley's Point of View]

FINALLY! Break! Biology class was a pain! Miss Malory really loves to talk with the same monotone voice. I am better of home schooled at this rate!

I unwrapped one of my jammy scones from my bag and munched it down. Mom would call it unfeminine like. But hey! I am hungry! I unconsciously walked my way to the nearest toilets. I needed to refresh myself before my next class.

"Not today" As I pushed the toilet doors I heard a voice. As I peeped through the gap I saw a girl starring at the mirror talking to her self. Looks like she is giving herself a pep talk.

When I walked in I noticed she was the new girl. I may have forgotten her name even though I shared math with her. In my defense so much happened between then and now. I had to retain those quadratic formulas and the nervous system.

She must have heard the door opened as she looked at me. From where I stood I noticed tears were starting to cover her eyes.

Please don't cry.

She faced the mirror again and wiped her eyes. Shaking her head she chuckled. Ookay?

"Um are you okay?" I voiced my thoughts. She kept staring at her reflection.

Shit. I shouldn't have said anything. Way to ruin the moment Haley!

I took a deep breath and walked towards the sink and washed hands.

"Depends" the new girl said just as I was about to wash my face.

"What?" I asked trying to understand what she meant.

"Depends on what aspects of my life am I okay." she explained.

"Oh-" I really didn't know what to reply. She was a stranger after all and I am usually not the one to hold conversation people in general.

"Life surely has its mind of it own and it really loves to test your patience." She said once she knew I didn't have anything else to say. I agree with her 100% but what happened though during Math and break? She wasn't there in Bio. Did 4th period make her more perceptive in any way or was she normally like this? I highly doubt that...

"Fun fact! You know Lewis right? Lewis Calder? He loves to read a lot of non fictitious books on the daily. He loves the colour burgundy and he normally eats the veggies first in any food so that he doesn't have to leave it at the end"

"Those are pretty specific details of his character." I replied still lost to how she knows about it. I mean he is Lewis Calder. He usually doesn't open up to anyone let alone someone new.

"You might think I am crazy, I wouldn't blame you though. I might me. you must be wondering how I know random details on Lewis' life." She paused, as if she was trying to put together what to say next.

It took her 2 solid minutes and I gave her that. What? I was curious! Also I felt sorry for her. Seems like she has a lot of weight on her shoulders.

She leaned back into the sink counter and looked down at her shoes. I did the same shoving my hands into my skirt pockets.

"Lewis. Lewis Calder." His name naturally rolls out of her mouth. She loves building the suspense.

"We grew up together." She finally said as she looked at me.

I raised my eyebrows at her genuinely shocked. Out of all the reasoning in my head that was not on my list! Okay her naturally saying Lewis' name should have given it away but I am dense like that sometimes.
