I Made a Boo Boo (Luigi x Boo!reader)

3rd person POV

It was an ordinary day in Smash Mansion and everyone was minding their own business. Playing, eating, battling, relaxing, etc. Some Smashers were even in the arena, watching a battle.

The Mario bros were having a 3-stock battle in the arena with Bowser and King Dedede. It was currently a draw, each Smasher having one stock left, but the bros were winning. The two were able to withstand or avoid Bowser's fire breath and King Dedede's hammer for a while.

Time Skip

Bowser was the first to be KOed completely, then Mario, and finally King Dedede. A few Smashers were surprised that Luigi wasn't KOed instead of Mario. But they were still happy that the Mario bros won.

"Great job Weegee. That was an amazing fight we had against Bowser and King Dedede.", Mario said, praising his brother. (In the Mario games, Mario calls Luigi Weegee).

(Y/N) was one of the Smashers that watched the fight, and decided to talk to Luigi. She praised him and told Luigi that she's proud of the hard work he put into training with his brother.

When the 3 said goodbye to each other to do their own things, Luigi decided to try a new way to fight.

He saw Smashers use range attacks and that started to catch his interest. Not only his interest, but also because he was bored. Besides, he needed something to do. So he went to the mansion's library to look for a tome book.

Time Skip

After 15 minutes of searching, Luigi finally found a tome book that looked easy enough for him to practice with. Instead of taking the book to his room, he took the book with him into one of the training rooms to practice.

He skimmed through the book, looking for a spell that'll help him in battle or help him in any way.

There was a section in the book that gives ways or ideas on how to overcome multiple things. So Luigi went to that section and decided to try one out.

The spell that Luigi found was for overcoming ghosts of all kinds. Since he's afraid of ghosts, Boos especially, he decided to try it out.

Since he's in a training room, he tried to turn a sandbag into a fake Boo. The spell worked, but the sandbag only lasted as a Boo for 5 seconds. Luigi tried 4 more times but they all failed and he ended up groaning.

Just before he was about to return the book back into the library, he heard a loud explosion and a groan nearby in the hallway. Curiously, Luigi looked out into the hallway and he could not believe what he saw.

Right in front of him was a Boo! An actual Boo! It turned around and saw Luigi. Right when it did turn around, Luigi screamed and slammed the door shut then barricaded it.

But there was something about that Boo that Luigi didn't notice. The Boo had (h/l) (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes.

So the Boo was actually one of the Smashers! It was (Y/N), but as a Boo! That explosion was the sound of (Y/N) exploding and the groan was from the pain of the explosion she had. There was even a dark mark on her face too as proof.

Luigi's POV

"Ahhhhh!!!". What did I just see!? I can't believe my eyes!

Right in front of me was a Boo! Just like the ones in my game! How did it get in here?! There has got to be a way to get that thing out of the mansion!

After a few seconds of standing behind the door and barricading it, I very slowly and very slightly opened the door to see if that Boo was still there.

It was just floating right there, doing nothing. I thought that it was planning something, so I watched it for a few more seconds.

Wait a second... Is it just me, or does this Boo look a little familiar?, I thought to himself. To make sure I wasn't hallucinating, I decided to think of who this Boo looked like.

Hmmm... (h/l) (h/c) hair, (e/c) eyes, and that clothing... Wait... Is that-?! "(Y/N)?!", I exclaimed with shock and surprise.

So the Boo turned around and said, "Yeah it's me, (Y/N). What's going on here? And why are you looking at me like I'm a ghost or something?", she asked.

"Well... it's because you are a ghost. But not a ghost exactly. You're a Boo.", I told her, but in a somewhat scared tone.

"What?! But how could I be turned into one?! I didn't do anything other than walking by this room!", (Y/N) exclaimed.

"I think I know the answer, but it will take a while to explain. So please listen.", I instructed her.

Time Skip

After I finished explaining to her what I did, she just stared at me in disbelief with her mouth wide open. Not wide open in a smile, but wide open in a frown.

Oh no... I'm in trouble aren't I? I  thought to himself. So I closed my eyes tight to brace for the pain and prepare for my punishment. But I didn't feel anything. I opened my eyes but (Y/N) wasn't in front of me. Instead, she was looking at the tome book I used. It was on the floor.

I walk over and saw her trying to hold the book, but her Boo hand just kept phasing through it like it wasn't there. I couldn't help but chuckle a bit, seeing that she was getting a little bit mad about her hand passing through.

She looked at me with an annoyed glare. And she even growled a little too. Then she sighed out of irritation and said in a negative tone, "Alright Luigi. Since I'm a Boo, I can't hold, carry, or touch any person or object. And because of that, you're gonna have to do the work. But the work isn't training or doing average daily tasks. It's going around the mansion, trying to find out and figure out a way to get me back to my normal self. Got it Mr.?"

I nodded. But then a question came to mind. "Wait. How come I have to do this and not you?".

"Seriously Luigi? I just told you why. Not only because I can't touch things, but also because it's your fault. You caused this dilemma after all. So you have to fix it. I do the talking, and you do the working. Understand?", she nagged.

I nodded again and sighed sadly. What a problem I've gotten myself into... And so began the search for a way to change (Y/N) back to normal.

But this is just Day 1.
