Just before class starts Riley stumbles in. She makes her way to the back where we saved her a seat.
"Heyyy, I brought drinks," Riley shakes the drink in her hand to further her statement. She hands me mine and looks at Blake.
"I didn't know what you would want, so, I got you a Latte."
"Thank you"
I take a sip and enjoy the sweetness. I look over at Blake and he's just staring at me with a goofy smile.
"What, do I have whipped cream on my nose?"
"No, you're just so cute"
My cheeks were soon tinted pink and I let out a little chuckle. I was about to respond but Riley beat me to it.
"Alright love birds we have class to focus on, stop being cute."
I roll my eyes and face the front. The professor drones on and on about why he believe we have soulmates. It's not what we're supposed to be learning, but it's rather interesting anyway. I sit back and think what would it be like in a world where you don't have a soul mate. There would be no guarantee you ever find love. That thought scares me, but at the same time that world might be better than this one. Imagine having the freedom of picking your own partner. After a couple more minutes of listening I got bored and started to doodle on my notebook. After a drawing 6 stick figures, 2 clouds, and one pancake class was almost over.
After he went off topic we never went back to the original lesson, but there were no complaints from me. He finally stopped talking and dismissed us."Bye Blake"
Riley shouts over her shoulder as she grabs my hand and practicality drags me out of the class room.
"We need a best friend day. Let's go to starbucks, get drinks, and figure everything else out afterwards."
"Dude, starbucks is great"
"it really is"
Since Blake drove me to class I didn't have to worry about getting my car. We went got to starbucks and Riley ordered our drinks.
"Order for Riley!"
The cute guy called out her name. She rushed over to the drink counter. Her hands were full because she was carrying four cups. I was quite confused when she brought them over because theres only two of us. She handed me a large cup with purple liquid and another with what I can only assume is a coconut macchiato. I take a sip of the purple drink and its the violet drink, she knows me so well.
"I didn't know what you wanted, so, I got you both of them."
"Thank you, I owe you."
We sat at Starbucks for a couple hours and talked about everything new and caught up. We soon realized were running low on food in the apartment. So we finished up our drinks and we went out to her car. It was funny watching her put the pedal to the metal while trying to get to the grocery store before it closed. We haven't gone shopping in awhile and as weird as it is I love going grocery shopping. We grabbed a trolly and started going through all the isles loading up the cart. I may not look like I'm in shape, but I generally try eating good and being healthy. The main things on my list as a result of this is; eggs, avocados, protein powder, granola bars, oatmeal, almond milk, steak, and veggies. Of course I had to load up on some snacky foods. Such as, fruits and cheese sticks. Riley has a metabolism like no other, the girl doesn't have an extra pound on her. Although she has a really good metabolism, she loves to work out and swim. After she loaded her food in the cart we went over to the checkout. We payed the price of our groceries and attempted to stuff them all in the trunk of her car. Once we got back to the apartment building, it was a struggle to get all the groceries in one trip to the apartment. Piece of food after piece of food we put it all away.
"Care to watch a movie?"
"Of course," I start to go grab my pjs,"What movie?"
She picks up the remote and goes onto Netflix.
"I don't know, any ideas?"
"Hm, how about we put on American Horror Story?"
"Are we still on the same season?"
"Of course I wasn't going to cheat on our netflix relationship."
"I'm honored you upheld that"
Laughter soon filled the room, she quickly put on the show and we watched around five episodes before calling it a night.
After washing up and getting in bed I switch on my phone to find a text from Blake.
Blake: Hey, how was your day?
Me: Pretty fun, how about you?
Blake: Boring with out you around.
Me: Aw so cheesy
Blake: Shhhh. I'm only cheesy for you.
Me: As much as I want to keep talking to you, I really need to sleep.
Blake: Good Night, talk to you tomorrow.
Me: Good Night :)

I woke up to the blaring of the fire alarm.
"Shit, Shit, Shit"
The voice is to deep to be Riley's. I rub my eyes a bit before leaving my room before going to investigate. I slowly tip toe out of my room grabbing the bat I keep by my door. I look around the corner and see an unknown male cooking in my kitchen.
"Damn it I forgot about the toast." He says to no one in particular.
I slowly creep up behind him raising my bat. My bat was then ripped from my grips and I am swung around to be face to face with an annoyed looking Riley."Can you please not hit my guest with a bat?"
"Sorry, I thought he was a murderer."
"A murderer that makes toast?" he chimes in behind me
"Ash this is Flynn," Riley motions from him to me, "Flynn meet Ash"
"Who is Flynn?"
"Just a friend"
"Hmm, are you sure about that," he's still cooking despite the burnt toast, "I beg to differ"
I look at him and her with her now pink cheeks.
"Riley?"
"Yes"
"Is that your boyfriend?"
"no....maybe.....yes"
"You failed to mention that, why?"
"You just seemed so busy lately, I didn't want to bother you with it."
I pull her into a hug, "I'll never be to busy for you, but I'm pushed you didn't tell me"
I laugh a little and then look over to Flynn. He's tall with tan skin, eyes like honey with matching hair. I can't tell how long it is because it's tucked into the hood of his grey hoodie. He also has a little stubble on his jaw.
"Good job with that one, I'm going back to sleep"
"Ash it's 11 in the morning and thank you"
"Have fun with your boyfriend, I'll bother Blake today."
"Thank you, I'll see you later."
I hop into the shower and by the time I get out they are already gone. Since it's Saturday neither of us had work or classes.
Authors note:
Ok I screwed up the days so I'm not sure what day this was supposed to be but I'm going to make it a Saturday and make sure to keep a tight track on that.
