BASED OFF DALVIN'S SONG LONG DAY.
Charlotte Evans the nameplate that sat on the office door, was hit was light. Your office was filled with heat but not only that, your anger.
Not only was the printer acting up. The Magazine would be delayed, giving other Magazine's the upper hand for the February Issue. All the work of writing and getting articles finalized and drafted was down the drain.
And it was all..your assistants fault. Yeah it would be said that it was YOUR fault but in all actuality this was his fault. You sat down in your large leather brown chair and rubbed your temples to the occurring headache.
Seemed as if everything was going wrong today. Your toilet was clogged up,Your car broke down, You was late and now this? Just your type of luck.
This was the first time in your life that you didn't have a plan to do anything. Where you had given up on everything. Your hands went to the front of your forehead, holding it as you leaned back into your seat.
Wondering how you were gonna' take care of your bills after you got fired. You let out a frustrating breath before the phone rings and you dictate if you answer it or not.Today would be a long one, for sure . The only thing you had that could possibly make you feel better about today was your long-term boyfriend , Dalvin who would be over at your apartment for movie night like any other Thursday.
He was out of town for awhile , dealing with his recent investments. For someone who said they didn't like to eat fast food he sure loved investing in them.
You revert back to reality looking at the phone as it still ringed. Giving in you pick it up and put it to your ear hesitantly, letting out a disappointed sigh awaiting for the negative news to come.
"Damn' what's wrong baby? Thought I called my brother by accident with that hard ass sigh." A smile comes on your face and you chuckled at his mean joke.
"I'm sorry, just a lot going on today. How's everything going on with you though?" You sit there listening to the shuffling and how quiet it had gotten and your eyebrows quickly furrow.
"It went well, until the owner came in and uh- you know I ain't the mean type but uh- she had a large ass mole on the side of her face. I tried to stop looking at it. But I couldn't stop..You know I ain't mean so I kept looking everywhere else...that aint' work." A chuckle escapes your lips and instead of stopping him from his random babbling you let him keep going.
He seemed excited about getting the deal. He seemed like the one out of his group of friends that weren't hanging on a limb. Which you was proud of.
When winning the lottery like he did, he seemed to take care of his money more than most people that win the lottery do.You found yourself twirling your finger around the cord, forgetting where you were at. His soft voice was really making your day even if you wasn't listening to a word he was saying. Soon you stop him because you had gotten lost into other things than his meeting.
