After working for hours or was it day he didn't really know he began to feel like the work that he thought would be fun and interesting become more and more mind numbingly boring.
He had build a five room house. The living room that he started with had become more of a rectangle with the mud room right in the middle. Directly across from him was a hallway that lead to other rooms of various sizes. On the left hand side right in the middle of the far wall was another arc way that lead it another room. That room was connect to and hallway that lead and connected to the main hall, making a sideways T intersection.
'I don't get it. In my previous life I loved building shit in games. I mean if there was a game we're you could build your own base I had it. I would sink hours, days, or even months in to it but when I'm doing it in real life and with magic no less it just isn't enough. I want....' eyes going wide as he realized what it was he was missing, 'I'm lonely. Before I would hang out with friends either in person or online. We would play games or just talk or even watch movies together and if they where busy I could just talk to people on forms or at bars or work or something. I have never really been with out human contact this long before.'
'I didn't realize that isolation can be so lonely. Ya know it really gives me a new understanding of Mr. Hanks.'
...
.....
'Maybe I need to get a Wilson of my own or a friend.' With that thought in his mind he left his new "home" to find a friend or find the resources to make a Wilson.
With that desire in mind he set out to collect the resources needed to make a Wilson or to meet humans.
Wondering around the glowing forest picking up plants that according to the description could be used to make hemp and other equally useful items but even though he spent hours or maybe days collecting an exorbitant amount of resources he didn't find any people.
'Damn it. What the hell? Do people just not come to this dungeon.' He stomped his foot. 'What ever. At least I still have you Wilson,' he said as he looked at his pack.'
He quickly returned home again only stopping three or four time on the return, resulting in a level up. Using a quick spell to open and close the "front door" he called out to the empty house, "I'm home."
'Sigh, haven't made Wilson yet so no real point in calling out is there.'
Moving through the house he made his way to the largest room in the back to unload all of the crafting materials that he collected while he was out.
After storing all the the crafting materials he collected, which ranged from clay to hemp, he began working on his new friend Wilson.
At first he tried out making Wilson like you would a basket but he was to fragile that way so he tried to make them out of clay and that would work but before he could do that he had to make a kiln, which he made in a different room from the storage room. The second largest room was then dedicated to to crafting and the like were the largest room became the storage room for all of the stuff he collected and all the stuff he knew he would collect in the future.
After making the kiln he baked the first prototype of the clay Wilsons but just like the first basket type Wilsons, the first clay type Wilsons also looked like shit.
'We have the money. We have the technology. We can make him better.' That frase kept runners no through his head as he make Wilson after Wilson. Whether they be clay, hemp, basket, or what ever else he could get his hands on.
After another unknown amount of time he finished him. The perfect Wilson.
'Not to toot my own horn or anything I think that my Wilson is better than the original Wilson.'
Taking in the "masterful" work of art in his hands he couldn't help but sigh in blissful contentment. Unlike the Wilsons that came before it this one was a perfect sphere and unlike the one that came first this one actually used a combination of hemp, clay, and basket weaving to make. Using basket weaving and hemp he was able to give it a face that actually had moving parts so I could change expressions of even talk to him. Reinforcing that and acting as the core was clay.
With this baked clay core acting as the foundation he was able to work in many different expressions like; happy, sad, bored, content, shy, angry, and many many more, all of which can be gotten to with a combination of turns on the back of the Wilson. Kind of like turning the dial on the lock for a locker to unlock it, but this one changes the expression on the Wilson's face.
If that wasn't exiting enough while he was making the Wilson he gained a couple of new skills and was able to level when up pretty nicely.
He gained the weaving skill and leveled it up to level 4, as well as the pottery skill and leveled it up to level 5. To get there though many, many, many Wilsons had to pay the price of being his experiments. If one was to look in one of the smaller rooms it would be full of thousands of Wilsons all packed into the room neatly, leaving little to no room between them or in the room itself.
Looking at his new friend, "What should we call you? It can be Wilson because that's already taken by Mr. Hanks friend. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. What about Sebastian. I always liked that name."
Nodding his head he set Sebastian down and put on a specialized harness that he made by weaving hemp together into a rope.
Now equipped with his harness he strapped Sebastian onto his shoulder.
"Okay, Sebastian let us set of and gather more resources because to make you I used almost all that I have.
With a quick Earth spell he "opened the door" and set out on his first trip sense.... well only the goddess knows how long.
"Sebastian there's so much I have to tell you. You don't know any of the plants or what not around here but I will teach them all to you so don't you worry I'll tell you everything thing I've learned to this point."
And he did just that, telling everything he did and saw, all the while he was gather more things. He gathered a little or a lot of everything not because he really needed or even wanted it but so that he could explain what they were to Sebastian and maybe even develop a hobby that Sebastian and he could do together.
After what felt like hours they had traveled a great distance from home and even killed some skeletons on the way he found something he didn't expect. Humans.
"Sebastian look there are people here. Real people." Reaching back he changed Sebastian expression to one of shock. "Do you think we should say hi?" Changing Sebastian expression to a happy one he moved Sebastian's face up and down in a yes motion. "I agree let's say hi."
