"Landa? Yolanda. Yolandaaa! Wake up buttercup."
My human-sized chicken wing faded and molded into my mom hovering over me. It looked like everyone was getting off of the bus. So much for that delicious dream.
"Oh shoot!" I sprang up and dragged my bag behind me, nearly trampling my mother. He he, whoops.
How weird. Of course, I meant that in the best possible way. All the signs were in German, and the hotel had a home touch that was scarce where I came from. I couldn't get enough.
Okay! We all had our bags in hand, set for our journey. Our tour guide, Barbara, was announcing our roomates and room number.
Please let me get someone agreeable, please pretty pleeeaase!
"Yolanda and Francine, room 202. Here's your key guys, handle with care."
I trailed behind France in half disbelief, half expectancy. Just my luck to get the bully as my roomate. Don't get me wrong, she can be fun at times, but I always have that feeling that she is out to get me and is always aiming at me. She's also got these insane mood swings that could shock you more than lighting. Those are the best times to run for it.
"Guess we'll be rooming together, huh?" She said.
"Mhm." Wait for it.
"Aren't you glad?" I think I heard something snap coming from her direction.
"M-mhm." I didn't just get nervous, no not at all.
Francine stopped completely and turned around.
"Is that sarcasm I hear in you lil missy?" See what I told you, I'm not crazy or mean, just realistic. Her on the other hand...
"Guys hurry up and get in the elevator, unless you want to try the stairs," barked Jaden
Yes, saved by the bark.
"Geez, what's your problem." Francine growled and then turned to get in the elevator. "Someone's in a bad mood," she mumbled.
Look who's talking.
