Sabrina

Following Ethan down the stairs, I could hear arguing between the guys. "Why don't we just do pairs for now?"

"No, we always do pairs, we should just do one on ones!"

"But that'll take forever dude?"

"Not unless it's against you.."

"The hell is that supposed to mean?"

I just groaned and walked up to Ben and Eric, pushing myself in between them, "Ladies, ladies, look you're both pretty, now how about you shut the fuck up and go sit down, okay?"

Ben looked down at me and glared slightly, "Sab, Pairs or Singles?"

"Singles, y'all always fight over partners anyways..."

Eric grinned at me and ruffled my hair, "Good choice Sabrina!"

I swatted his hand away and turned when I could feel an arm being put around my waist, looking up to see Ethan. I let myself lean into him, ignoring the conversations about who is going first, focusing on just the warmth of Ethan. Unbeknownst to me, the guys went silent staring at me and when I opened my eyes I could feel face start to heat up as I separated myself from Ethan. Ben gave me a knowing smirk, Eric and Ethan seemed quite confused, and Lukas just looked a bit irritated... Wait when did he get here? 'Probably when you were getting all cozy with Ethan' Shut up! "We didn't even say anything," I heard Ben laughing as I realized I said that out loud, and soon the others started joining in on the laughter.

I glared at them for a bit before rolling my eyes and leaning against the table, "Alright so what are the match-ups?"

They started calming down and Ben started listing the match-ups, "First match, Me against Jack, Eric and Lukas, and then Ethan against Sabrina, fair?"

There was a chorus of 'Yeah's before we took seats on the couches or in Lukas' case, leaned against a wall, acting like a loner. The game itself was quite boring, however, the interactions between Jack and Ben are something to see. Honestly, Jack, in my opinion, was what I call an 'Underground Savage' in which he roasts people without them knowing, but certain people who have known him for a while can tell. He's sneaky but still very timid. His brother, on the other hand, was almost like the complete opposite. Ben's known to be quite calculating when it comes to people and their habits or emotions, yet he's really childish and loud. Whenever he was with Jack, it was like a comedy duo full of sarcasm and taunting.

Their game had ended quite quickly, Jack winning of course. Ben had let out an exaggerated sigh, pouting as he went to sit in front of me on the floor. I rolled my eyes and pat him on the back as Eric and Lukas started setting up for their game. Jack came over and sat next to me, opposite of Ethan, flicking the back of his brother's head. "Hey! That's uncalled for dude..."

"Then stop pouting," Jack stared at the game blankly after that.

Eric and Lukas' game was going pretty slow, so I got up and went upstairs, "I'll be right back, gonna step outside for a bit."

Not waiting for a reply, I head to the kitchen and get a glass of water before going out to the back porch. It was fairly quiet, save for the few yells I could hear coming from the basement window. I felt my lips tug into a small smile, before jumping slightly as a hand landed on the shoulder. I turned my head quickly to see Ethan and let out a breath of relief, "Ethan don't do that please, almost gave me a heart attack."

He let out some quiet laughter, the sound of it giving me goosebumps. 'I love his laugh.' I didn't realize I was staring at him until he sat next to me and bumped my shoulder with his. "Sorry Sab," He looked at me smiling.

Even his smile.. Almost like the sun, set on blinding you the longer you stare at it. His face started changing into what looked like confusion as he glanced at me. 'Shit I was staring again.' I quickly looked away, taking a gulp of my water. I hummed, watching the squirrels chase each other through the yard and up through the trees, absentmindedly tracing the rim of my glass with my thumbs. I felt warmth under my chin, making me turn my head to face Ethan. I raised an eyebrow as he looked at me, with an almost unreadable expression. It was soft, yet, still quite serious, his face getting closer and closer to mine. Wait, was he gonna kiss me?

My eyes widened as his nose touched mine, his eyes closing before I felt the warmth of his lips on mine. Mine instantly started to close as his lips started to move against mine, feeling his hand move to cup my neck, his thumb gently tracing my cheek. The kiss was warm, almost comforting, making my lips start to tingle. Eventually, we parted for air and he rested his forehead against mine. I took the hand he had on my neck in mine and removed it, slowly lacing my fingers with his. His eyes were still closed, his long lashes twitching slightly as he opened them.

There was a clicking noise, before the back door opened, making us separate from each other, turning to see who opened the door. "Hey, our match is over, hurry up so we can move on through the tournament."

"Kay, we'll be there in a moment Lukas," Ethan glanced at me one more time, winking at me, before getting up and heading inside.

I was frozen before Lukas broke my trance, "Sabrina, you coming?"

"Oh... Uhm, yeah," I quickly got up and headed inside, taking my glass to the kitchen sink before heading downstairs.

My thoughts were all over the place as I stood by the pool table, waiting for Ethan to break. I couldn't get what happened out of my mind, like what the hell was that for? I mean don't get me wrong, I liked it, but... Why did he do it? A light knock against my head with a cue stick broke me from my thoughts and I noticed that Ethan was done with his turn. I sighed before figuring out which shot I was gonna make before lining it up, sinking a solid. I can worry about what happened later.
