Jimin's Pov
When we finally reached the police station, we saw two officers on duty. They both were sitting at the entrance watching TV and drinking coffee. As soon as we entered, their eyes were on us.
"Hoseok? What are you doing here?" One of the officers, an older man with grey hair, asked. "Your father isn't here." he added.
Hoseok smiled and rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah I know. I just forgot something in his office the other day. He told I can come anytime and get it. It will only be a sec." he said with a nervous laugh.
Both officers stared at him intently. "Fine you can go-but-" the younger officer pointed at us. "You three stay here. I'm pretty sure Hoseok doesn't need your help." he said with stern tone.
Hoseok gave us all an apologetic look as he ventured off towards his dads office, which was located near the back corner.
"Now what?" Jennie whispered as she kept her eyes on the cops.
"I don't know, we have of think of something to distract the both of them." I whispered back.
Just then we all heard a loud crash that came from outside. It sounded like it came from the back of the building. The older officer stood up and nodded over to his partner. "I'll check it out. Just keep an eye on those kids." he said as he griped gun in its holster and ventured off towards the back.
"I don't get paid enough to be a baby sitter." The younger officer grumbled at he kept a sharp eye on us.
"Okay, unless that was Hoseok making a distraction, what should we do about this one." Jennie whispered.
"I think I have an idea." I said as looked over to the officer. "I need to use the bathroom." I said out loud.
The officer looked over to me with a smug on his face. "Then go outside and do it in an alleyway." he spat.
Asshole.
Jennie stepped up with a smile. "I need to use the bathroom too. And if you're going to tell me to use it outside, I suggest you bring a mop and a bucket because it's my time of the month and-"
"Spare me the details." The officer spat as reached into his key chain. His brows furrowed for that whatever he was looking for wasn't there. "Shit, Kiyo must have the bathroom keys." he said as he stood up. "Alright, here is the deal. None of you move from that spot until I get back." he ordered as he ventured off into same direction his partner went.
As soon as he was gone, Jennie and I bolted for the office. I was surprised to see Hoseok working on the computer but also confused.
"Wasn't that you outside?" I asked as I walked over to the desk.
Hoseok looked up at me with a shrug. "No. I was in here most of the time. I thought it was one of you." he said as he motioned us to look at the screen. "Anyways, we don't have much time before they come back. Just give me a full name and I'll look it up." he added as he typed the password into the computer."
Hoseok got to work logging in and reaching the police data base. "Okay give me the name."
"Min Yoongi." I said.
His name felt like acid on my tongue. Hoseok typed it in but nothing came up. It was as if he didn't exist.
"Okay try Dr. Kim Seokjin."
Hoseok typed in his name and had gotten a page full of info but still nothing related to Min Yoongi. "Shit man, are you sure that's his real name?" he asked.
"I'm positive." I muttered.
"How about Dr. Kim." Jennie suggested.
"That creepy doctor? why him?" Hoseok questioned.
"Something about him doesn't seem right. When all the mysterious murders started happening, he just showed up. But why?" she questioned.
"I guess it's worth a shot." Hoseok said as he typed the name into the computer and gotten a load of information on Dr. Kim Namjoon. I then noticed Dr. Kim Seokjin's name was included.
"It says he and Dr. Kim Seokjin were medical partners before they split up. Dr. Seokjin went to Daegu where he worked as a psychiatrist in a mental intuition. His last patient was killed along with one hundred and twenty patients during a fire that was mysteriously started." Hoseok read as he continued to scroll down the page until he reached a lone picture.
My heart nearly stopped beating.
The picture was very faded but it had Dr. Seokjin and a few patients but the one whose face stood out was the boy with black hair, sitting in a far corner.
"Is that Min Yoongi? He supposed to be dead right?" Hoseok asked.
As I was about to answer his question, all the power in the building went out. It was pitch black inside the office and I had to fumble around for my cell phone. "Is everyone okay?" I asked as I turned my phone on and looked around.
Everyone else turned on their cell phones as well, a soft green glow illuminated the room. "I'm fine." Hoseok replied.
"Me too." Jennie said. "I...heard something...outside that door." She whispered as she pointed to our only escape route.
We all turned our heads and listened quietly as heavy footsteps grew closer and closer to the door.
"We need to get the fuck out of here and call the cops." Hoseok said as he rushed to the door.
"Hoseok wait!!" I said but it was too late.
As soon as Hoseok opened the door, the older police officer fell on top of him.
"Get him off me!" Hoseok shouted frantically. Jennie and I helped Hoseok lift the officer.
As soon as we got him to his feet, we noticed Hoseok's entire shirt was covered in blood. "What the fuck!" I said as I looked down to the officer who had blood coming out from a wound on his throat.
"Oh my god!! He's fucking dead." Jennie uttered. "We need to get the hell out of here." she added as she bolted out the door.
"Jennie wait!" I said as I ran after her. "We need to stick toget-" before I could finish my sentence, I tripped over something hard and fell on my face.
My phone skidded across the floor and landed in front of someone's foot. It was hard to see who it was since the person had a their face hidden beneath a blanket of black hair.
Whoever was in front of me leaned down and picked up my phone. The light from the phone emitted an eerie glow as the person lifted it to their face. I could almost make out a wide spread gummy grin across their face.
"Boo." the person whispered.
"Who the fuck are you!!" I shouted. I was scared out of my mind as I felt like I had entered a horror movie and I was face to face with the killer.
The person with my phone held it up more towards his face and what I saw was the face that haunted my nightmares for a year.
The face of evil.
The eyes of the devil.
The smile of death himself.
Min Yoongi.
My entire body clammed up and my voice had left me as did whatever courage I had inside me. Every muscle in my body refused to move. My mind went blank as I stood in the presence of a memory long since dead.
A ghost that had come back from his revenge.
I was so focused on Yoongi, who was standing with a wide gummy smile, I didn't realize there was someone behind me. I felt a heavy blow to the side of my head, which caused me to lose my balance and land once again on the cold hard floor.
The last thing I remembered was Yoongi's eerie cackle and then I was out cold.
