It's been a week since our date at the Hollywood sign, and I couldn't be happier. Nash and I have been doing great, and I have returned to school. I miss having Cassie around school to talk to. I had a meeting with the principal to see if we could get a memorial for her. I am just leaving his office after he has agreed to put a bench out in the front of the school in her honor.
It was hard enough when I was the new girl, but now I'm the girl who got Brampton and Tiffany sent to jail, and the girl who got Cassie killed. Everywhere I look there are students staring and whispering. I feel like flipping them off, but I have a feeling that would only make things worse. I have one class left to the day, Chemistry.
I walk into the class and am forced to sit into my old seat near Brampton's. I can fear the eyes watching my every move, so I face the front for the entire class; not even bothering to take notes.
The bell rings and it's not a moment to soon. Just as I am standing from my chair, I have to run to the garbage can in front of the class to puke. After about three times, I wipe my forehead of it's sweat and pick my bag off the floor that I dropped; only to see 20 pairs of eyes staring up at me. I run out of the classroom and through the hallway until I get to the main doors. Making my way to the parking lot to meet Cameron, I notice Nash standing by his car waiting for me.
"What are you doing here?" I ask, going to his open arms
"I knew you would be nervous on your first day back, so I thought I would pick you up." He answers, smiling. "How was your day?"
"Not as great as I hoped. Everyone was staring, and I just got sick on my way out of class" I answer, walking around to the passenger seat.
"Maybe you are coming down with a stomach bug" Nash says, putting the car in gear and driving away from the building.
"Yeah, Maybe"
We arrive at the house and I decide to get a snack. I am really in the mood for chocolate pudding, so I look in the pantry and am in luck; there is one left. Walking up the stairs with the spoon covered in chocolatey goodness in my mouth, I notice Nash isn't behind me.
I change into my pajamas and sit on my bed. Going through my Netflix list, I decide to watch the first season of Jane the virgin. I have been told that it's an awesome show.
I'm at the part where Jane finds out that she in artificially inseminated when Nash walks in.
"Hungry?" He asks
"No, why?" I notice at least six empty chocolate bar wrappers scattered around me. "What the hell... I don't eve remember eating these"
"This is an awkward question, but when was your last period?" He asks, moving closer to my bed.
I count in my head "Uh... I was supposed to be on it three days ago."
"When you mentioned getting sick at school I got kind of nervous and went to the pharmacy" He admits, pulling a brown paper bag from behind his back.
I take the bag and dump it onto my bed. "You bought five tests?"
Nash rubs the back of his neck "Yeah I didn't know which one to buy so I picked the five most expensive."
"Smart thinking. We have to wait for the morning though, that's when it is most accurate."
He nods and lays next to me, moving the garbage in the process. "If it's positive what are we going to do?"
"I don't know" I answer.
I really don't know.
