He guided me through the thick forest, hidden out of complete sight and well away from the pathway, until we reached a dimly lit playground far out of sight. The park was small, but it had plenty of equipnmet to use, such as a slide, rope climb, swings, monkey bars and various other common playsets. The area was lit by a single lamp post standing out behind everything, lighting the park only a little with but a single lightbulb inside. Taking in the scenery, I looked over at Cuphead with a confused expression on my face.

'Cuphead, why did you bring me here?' I asked, tilting my head to the side a little.

'Just thought I'd bring you somewhere quiet, somewhere we can be alone.' He stated, gripping onto my hand a little tighter and pulling me along with him. He walked us over to the swings and stopped in front of one, gesturing I sit in it. 'M'lady...' An unexpected smile had been stretched across my face as I tucked the end of my dress behind my knees and sat down on the wooden bench, grabbing hold of the ropes either side of me. A sudden pair of arms grabbed me from behind my waist and pulled me back, making my body lift off the ground entirely. A warm blush filled my cheeks as I could feel Cuphead lean his head close to me with a smile.

'You ready, doll?' He whispered softly, sending chills down my body.

An anticipated 'Mhm' was the only sound that came out through all the nervous laughter I had. Pulling me up even higher, he raised me up and let go, sending me down flying only to be pulled forward in a upward motion. Falling back down again, his hands pressed onto my back and pushed me up, continuing to do so for a while. The entire time I had a laugh that I just couldn't control no matter how hard I tried, and ever time Cuphead put his hands on my ready to push me up again; I got such a comforting, fuzzy feeling that flowed through my entire body. The minutes drifted past and the feeling was exhilarating; the cold wind brushing up against my face, my hair flowing back and forth, the gentle touch from Cuphead every time I was pulled back down to him.

As time passed, we moved from the swings to the monkey bars, rope climb, and slide. Now we had found ourselves lying back on a wooden platform suspended off the ground supported by other playsets. We began gazing at the stars, getting lost in our field of vision as our minds were high above the clouds, completely tuning off the world around us as we engaged in conversation. Our heads were connected as our bodies lie next to each other, my left hand in his.

'So...' He paused, drifting off on his train of thought.

'So...' I copied, waiting for him to say something, anything.

'Do you mind if I ask you a question?'

'Of course not.' I replied.

'I just want to know, do you miss being home?'

'Home as in my house or yours?'

'Your house, back with your family?'

'Honestly... no,' I stopped, trailing off a little to remember what it was like. 'That sounds terrible, doesn't it?'

'No, not at all!' He responded, 'I'm glad you like it here.'

'Of course I like it! It's so amazing here in the Inkwell Isle's'

'Oh yeah?' He turned his head over to look at me. 'What's the best thing about it here?'

I hesitated briefly before turning my head to look at him with a huge smile plastered across my face. 'Probably you.'

His face instantly brightened to a warm shade of red before he let out a little burst of laughter. 'Funny, I was going to say the same thing!'

'Oh really?' I smirked, 'You were going to say that you think you are the best thing to ever happen in these Isle's?'
