Chloe's (Not So) Evil Plan

Chapter 4

Marinette's POV:

I wake up to Tikki shouting my name.

"Is there an Akuma?" I ask jumping to my feet.

"No, I just have to tell you something. After Adrien left last night and you went to bed I started thinking. Why would Chloe have gone all the way up to the roof to talk bad about you to Sabrina? And why would she be talking loud enough that Chat Noue could hear her when he was running along the buildings on the other side of the street? It didn't make sense so I flew over to her hotel t—"

"Tikki! You could have been seen!" I interrupt.

"Calm down Marinette. I was being careful. Anyway when I got there, she was floating to Sabrina about how she had this genius plan to get Adrien to herself and how the first step is already working."

"What was the plan?" I question.

"To get you and Chat Noir together so you would stop trying to be with Adrien." Tikki giggles. "That's why she said all those things to Chat and pressured him to come over here."

"We should tell Adrien about this. He would probably think its hilarious," I say thinking of how my dorky partner would react to this. Picking up my phone I call him and tell him to come over to my house. A few minutes later I hear the thud of Chat Noirs boots hitting my balcony. I climb up to the balcony and open the door for him. Once we're both in my room and Adrien detransformed I tell him about what Tikki discovered.

"You know what would be really funny?" He asks when I'm done.

"What?"

"If we make her plan backfire even more. When we go to school on Monday, (A/N: it's Saturday right now.) you can tell her how Chat Noir came to your house because of something she said and that he overheard you talking to Alya about your crush on me.  So he decided to help you and me get together."

"The look on her face would be priceless!" I say laughing at the thought. "Wait! We're not dating. So if I did tell her she would just say I'm making it up."

"Or we could actually date," Adrien says so quietly I barely hear.

"Are you asking me out?" I ask summoning my inner Ladybug and smirking and walking closer to him .

"I don't know, are you agreeing?" Adrien asks back a little louder taking a step towards me.

"Hmmm," I say pretending to be thinking hard about his question leaning in towards him slightly. "I could be persuaded."

Adrien leans in until we're centimeters away from touching. "I guess I'll just have to convince you," he whispers leaning in even more until our lips are almost touching. My breath starts to quicken and I glance at his lips but before I can do anything he leans back, grabs my hand and pulls me down the stairs and out of my room. I follow after him dazed and disappointed, but that disappears when I see his smirking face. He did that on purpose just to mess with me! Taking my hand from his grasp I march passed him flicking his face with my pigtail as I pass him.

"What was that for?" He asks pouting.

I don't respond and just keep walking out the door.

"Meowch! Silent treatment from M'Lady? What did I ever do to deserve this cruel treatment!" He gasps falling against the wall dramatically.

Rolling my eyes I grab his hand. "Let's get ice cream," I say

"If it's ice cream my princess wants it's ice cream she shall get!" He proclaims loudly getting more than one weird looks from it. I start to walk towards the nearest ice cream shop but am stopped by Adrien scooping me up bridal style and running down the street with me.

"Adrien! Put me down!" I yell in between laughs

"Never! I must protect my princess and bring her to her ice cream!" He shouts back running faster. I roll my eyes and hold onto him tighter so I don't fall.

"Your ice cream awaits, M'Lady!" He says setting me down in front of the ice cream shop that we just reached and opening the door.

"Thank you, my knight in leather armor," I say walking past him and to the ice cream counter. We order our ice cream then choose a table to sit at.

"So, have I convinced my princess to give this alley cat a chance?"
