Neo quietly walked to the bar where Lil' Miss was. She watched as cars drove by, her body jolting every few minutes one passed by.
She wanted to jump in front of one so badly.. But there was an invisible force pulling her back every time she leaned forward. Letting out a sigh, her eyes slowly wandered to the ground as she turned to the door of the bar.
Opening it silently, Lil' Miss Malachite immediately made eye contact with her. She walked over to her, her steps falling mute to the noise of the bar.
"Why, hello again, pint-size. You know the rules." The woman smirked, flicking open her fan. Neo exhaled silently before searching in her pockets for a lien purse. She flicked it open and searched for the item of most value. After plucking it out, she handed her the gold necklace with a ruby pendant. "Excellent. I was hoping for that one."
Neo had to prevent herself from rolling her eyes or snapping at her to hurry it up.
Getting the point, the blonde reached over and picked up a piece of paper with words carefully written in ink. "Well, I'll tell ya' that Cinder was killed by that little Raven Branwen. Ruby and her little team were seen getting on a train heading to Atlas, but the train didn't arrive."
Neo found herself clutching her parasol tightly. She knew she was strong, but in this state against her team and her friends? No. Definitely not. She had hoped that Ruby hadn't met up with her team, but she had also hoped Roman would be okay. LOOK HOW THAT TURNED OUT.
She frowned slightly, knowing there was no way she could get to Atlas without being recognized. Giving the blonde a slightly sombre nod, she spun on her heel and walked out. She bumped into someone who gave a cheerful apology, but she just kept walking.
It wasn't far, but she reached the abandoned warehouse she had been hiding in slower then normal. She pushed open the door, cringing at the loud groan. Giving a quiet sigh, Neo walked over to a large pile of blankets and pillows that she stole from a persons house before flopping down and letting out a depressed wail.
'There's nothing you can do!'
'You useless wench!'
'You were even useless to Roman!'
"Neo..."
She shot forward, looking around quickly as she held her parasol. She sighed, laying back as she stopped caring if it was a murderer.
'Your efforts are always in vain.'
'You deserve to be alone!'
Neo sobbed softly, covering her ears. 'Yeah, that'll help.' She thought with a scowl. Looking down at her bandaged hands, she clenched her fist, causing all the wounds to open up again, quickly turning the white bandages into red.
She bit her lip, closing her eyes tightly. Tears leaned out of her eyes as she laid her head back down. Black started to invade her vision, and she welcomed it.
-
Neo opened her eyes and looked around. Her eyes landed on her parasol, specifically the handle of the blade.
She stopped feeling her hands, so it was amazing she could even grab it. Pressing the button on the side, she carefully slipped the blade out of the parasol. She dropped the actual parasol part on the ground, slowly turning the blade in her hands.
She carefully pointed the sharp end at her chest, her heart starting to race. She smirked, feeling the adrenaline she usually got when she was about to kill someone. Her breaths started to speed up as she rose the blade higher.
Before bringing it down.
She had always loved the feeling of her blade piercing flesh, but it felt different when she was the one being stabbed.
Neo smiled, feeling blood pool into her lungs. She tried gasping for breath, but her efforts proving worthless.
-
And then, she woke up. Letting out a sigh, Neo sat up, feeling strangely light headed. She sighed softly, putting a hand on her chest, she stood up.
But then froze.
She looked around, hearing eerie sobs echo through the warehouse. She turned her head, the colour draining from her face.
Leaning against the wall, was a crying man. The one she had fought desperately to avenge.
Roman Torchwick.
She slowly stepped over, unaware her footsteps made no noise. "Roman.." She whispered, her raspy voice echoing like his sobs.
The man looked up, revealing grief stricken emerald orbs. "Neo..."
She ran over and kneeled beside him, tears welling up in her eyes ignoring the fact that her throat wasn't burning from lack of use. "You're alive..."
Roman just let out a sob, wiping his eyes. "No, Neo. You're dead."
Her eyes widened for a minute, looking over at her make shift bed.
Laying on the bed, was her with the blade piercing her chest. The one on the bed wore a sad smile on her face, her eyes red and puffy.
It wasn't a dream.
