Hey my lovely readers. I am so very sorry that it took me this long to post this part. But I had serious writers block going on. But with that being said, here is the last chapter of this story.
Thank you to all my readers and the friends I am made throughout this wonderful book.
Without further ado:
*A Year Later*
The past year has flown by for both Bayley and Finn, they went through a lot of highs and the lowest of lows. For instance, when Finn finally lost the NXT championship, he knew it had to happen to move up but what he didn't know was that it was just him, Luke and Gallows moving up. Hunter needed Bayley to finish her storyline with Auska down in NXT before she could follow. To say Finn was pissed was an understatement, he knew how much Bayley was looking forward to being brought up especially since Sasha, Becky and Charlotte have been brought up months before. It hurt their relationship more than it should've, but she couldn't help her insecurities. Once Finn was on the road touring with the main roster, she started pulling away from him, they use to text and call each other every day and now the hardly communicated at all. It all came to a head when Bayley was brought up for one night to help Sasha out.
*FLASHBACK*
Bayley was in the locker room when there was a knock on the door. "Come in!" she yelled out she was wrapping her wrist, due to being injured not too long ago. She didn't even have to turn around to know who walked into the room, she got this tingling sensation every time he was near, feeling she hasn't felt in 2 months. She took a deep breath and turned around, and immediately was staring into the crystal blue eyes of her boyfriend. "Hey Finn," she trailed off, she didn't know what to say.
"Hey Finn?" he scoffed, as he stared at her. "that's really all you have to say to me after 2 months of little to no communication!" He could feel the anger that he pushed down rising to the top, he shook his head to clear his mind. "I just don't get it," he was cut off by Bayley throwing herself at him.
Bayley couldn't stop the tears from flowing, she didn't mean to upset him she just didn't know how to deal with distance. With Aaron it was different, she didn't love Aaron like she loved Finn. With Finn, it's an all-consuming feeling, she feels like she can't breathe when he isn't around. She feels what she can only describe as a physical pain.
"I'm sorry." she said into his shoulder, "so sorry."
Finn tightened his grip on her, and pushed his face into her neck. He kissed her softly there, and both let out a deep breath. As much as he wanted to let this go, he couldn't he needed to find out what caused Bayley to pull away from him. He placed his hands on her shoulders and gently pushed himself away from her.
"We have to talk, as much as I wish I could just sweep this under the rug I can't."
Bayley nodded, "I have a match with Sasha in a couple minutes, will you be here when I get back?" she asked quietly.
Finn shook his head no, and Bayley's whole demeanor dropped.
"Even though I am pissed, I would like to accompany you out to the ring, if that's okay?"
Bayley smiled, and nodded. "I would like that."
After the match, Bayley quickly changed out of her gear and threw on some jeans and a Balor club tank top. She met Finn out by his rental car, "I don't have to be home for the next week, can I just tag along with you?" she asked him as he stood there watching her.
"Bayley, first we got to talk. Let's go get something to eat." She nodded and they got in his car and drove to a nearby 24-hour diner.
At the diner, they ordered their food then sat in silence. Neither knew what to say and both were terrified at how this talk would affect their relationship. Bayley started turning the promise ring around her finger under the table, and Finn just sat quietly.
