The release music played loudly throughout the school. It was usually theme songs of popular children shows. Occasionally, it was pop music. Today, I didn't hear it. I was too busy being beaten.

I fell down a grassy hill behind the school and rolled down to the bottom. I coughed up the grass that flew into my mouth on the way down as the footsteps of my bullies coming down became louder. A rough hand grabbed the back of my shirt, pulling me up and pushing me back into the ground. It lifted me up again and a foot hit me across the face before I was forced back down.

"Why not fight back, girly!?" I felt a foot kick my side and I lost my breath. "Are you too girly to get your hands dirty?" A fist hit my back and several feet were kicking my side.

"Hey! What is going on here," a new voice asked.

"Oh crap," a bully shouted. "Run!"

I heard them run away as a set of footsteps came down to my side. A gentle hand pulled me up and hoisted my arm onto the person's shoulder. The nurse. She walked me to her office and laid me down on the bed.

"Thanks," I said as she applied some bandages on me.

"Don't thank me when you're not doing something about this. I can't keep helping you after school so your parents don't know. At least tell a teacher about this so you're left alone."

"I can't tell a teacher. All I'll get is too much sympathy and more beatings. The guys would just beat me on my way home for telling on them."

Ms. Ryuko took notes on inventory left over from my care and sighed. "You can't let them pick on you forever."

I turn my head away. "I know, but what can I do? Violence is what they want from me, reporting it gives me sympathy, and moving loses friends."

Ms. Ryuko placed a hand on my arm and whispered. "You stand up for yourself."

"Link start!"

The same colorful swirl of colors invaded my vision, followed by the login procedure before I opened my eyes in the familiar forest where Tomiko and I took on the Zamus. I turned around and found my friend smiling behind me.

"Are you ready for the next mission?" She hopped up and down with excitement.

"Yes," I said. "What is it?"

"We could either fight Alien Zeton or Alien Murphles. Both are ranked level 5 monsters."

I put a hand under my chin. "Both have beaten or tied with Ultraman in a fight so they should be tough. Lets take on Murphles. He is weaker than Zeton."
