Nothing's weirder than nothingness

We continue.

During the duel between Courtney and Valeriana, I noticed something strange.

Q1. Who uttered these words to Valery, "Become one with the sword. Feel it. Control it."? A consciousness? Aristeon

A1. I don't know! Do you know? I place my bet on Aristeon tho.

Cheers to the old readers! I'm guessing that you'll know this second question.

Q2. In the first draft, Courtney intended to kill Valery with her fast and sharp winds, right? Stay with me. But instead of Seraphina's wall of Earth (edited version), it was a barrier much like the barrier in the academy rose and came forth to protect Val from Courtney's assault. Who did that? And how?

A2. Okay, I'm very excited to share with you guys my theory. Like really, I'm bouncing on my toes while typing this. Lol.

Anyway, we all know that only the royal family and a direct controller of this field can manipulate the barriers.

Now, there are two types of barrier. The first type is a normal barrier (I forgot the name hehe, but Corvan said this in the story). This barrier only lasted for a couple of seconds enough to protect the user from the enemy's assault before it'll disappear. It also uses the user's element. Much like the wall of Earth that Seraphina did to Valery in the edited version.

The second type is like the barrier in the academy. Strong and can only be wielded by the royal family. So in here, we suspected that Valeriana might be part of the royal family.

We should also take note of the presence of the Prince during the duel.

But it was later confirmed in the chapter where Valery meets the King that Prince Bertram didn't stay that long and he didn't get to finish watching the duel. Soooo this reason is rejected.

Meaning, it was someone else who did it or Valeriana herself summoned the barrier.

This my friend is where the mystery of Valeriana's identity rose to a higher degree.

I'm really considering the possibility that Valeriana's a royal descendant. HOWEVER, I do not have concrete proof. But here are the signs that I gathered throughout the series that Valeriana's a royal:

1. She looks like the late Queen.

2. She feels a connection with the king as quoted from the 5th book, "He's like a father I didn't have." Or something along those lines.

3. She has the same birth date as Prince Bertram.

4. She has golden-blonde hair and blue eyes like the current monarch. And Lovely kept on using that term, not until chapters 90+ in the fifth book.

5. She felt like a part of her soul is ripped out when the king died. (I forgot what chapter this is, but all I remember is when she was parring with Delaney. And the Prince is singing before the King died.)

6. During the expedition of King Bertram (in the fifth book), he was in the sea at that time. And during that same time, he felt a connection. A presence that is so familiar. Coincidently, Valery felt that too.

7. Valery and Kind Laedin are both Direct Controllers. (Thanks to @TheGirlWhoLurks for the info!)

And many more that I forgot to mention.

We strongly agree with the notion that Valery's a royal, with that strong evidence provided we are just waiting for a confirmation.

If she's not the lost heir, the rightful owner of the throne, maybe she's a close relative OR an illegitimate child from either the Queen or King OR Lord Aeron could be telling the truth that she's a legitimate child of a human and a Velmnian and she just happens to be the 'chosen one' (Bri-Van-Ghen.)

---A few info from Bri-Van-Ghen

1. You do NOT have to be a direct descendant of the royal family to be the True Heir. It was confirmed by Lovely herself that literally, any Valemnian can be the True Heir. One just needs to be 'potent in the blood of Friedel.' (Meaning, to be the True Heir you can either be part of the main branch or a branch in the royal family. It's just a matter of how one can be 'potent in Friedel's blood.)

2. In a bonus chapter of Knight that focuses on Bertram's POV on how he got the demon parasite in the first place, it was described in the narrative on how "the gods seemed to play with him" for not having him born as the True Heir, for leaving Valemnia's true ruler a mystery and not a direct descendant of the Rosellevienne family.

3. Proof that a Valemnian have Friedel's blood: a. if a Valemnian has white wings b. If a Valemnian has silver wings (like Bertram [only applies to the royal family]) c. If a Valemnian has golden wings [only applies to the True Heir.]

Whatever reasons may be, let's ready ourselves with the revelation to come.

And I have to admit, this story is as mysterious as the universe. We know the answer is there, we just haven't confirmed it yet.
