Question 1: Why did Seraphina and the demons appear on Earth?
Answer:
Apparently, they were sent down by the council to hunt the demons that escaped through the Holy Gates. And about 967, 813 demons escape but as Valemnians thrived, their numbers gradually decline.
Question 2: How can Valeriana see/hear demons without the blessings?
Answer:
We all know that Val got her first blessing with the undines right? So how in the world did that happen? My hypothesis is that Valery's not human and since every Valemnian possess a unique capability since they were born, maybe that's her power.
Later in the book, it was said and CONFIRMED that Valeriana's not human. (Refer to book 2, prologue) She has this awesome power to communicate with Celestial Beasts as well as Demons.
But how? Since she didn't have the blessings yet, how did she do it?
It is said in the book, "Every Valemnian possess certain power since the day they were born. If the child's parents are i.e. Arlandian and Denovegasian, the child can only acquire one power."
Soooo. Either Valeriana's parents is a Direct Controller or Indirect Controller.
Note: A Direct Controller utilizes one's aura to manipulate other person's aura by skin contact or eye contact. An Indirect Controller possess the abbility to manipulate objects that belonged to the nature i.e. fire, water, earth, wind, ice, etc.
This then led to Question 3, Who is Valeriana's Real Parents? Taking note that she is not human. Meaning, her parents can either be full blooded Valemnian or Valemnian/Human.
